We're very happy with Residential Plaza at Blue Lagoon. We had a friend that had his father there and they recommended it very highly, so we went there and so far, we're very happy also. I like the community. Everyone has been very helpful including the administrative offices. Everyone that lives there seems very happy. The staff is very friendly. Everything so far is working, the AC works, the hallways are clean, and the elevator is clean. There are three elevators available, so there are never too many people trying to get into the same elevator. It's all good so far. They have a lot of activities, but we haven't done any yet. My mother is still adjusting to her living quarters, but they had a big Christmas party yesterday and everyone was going to the party, but she didn't want to go. Her room is very comfortable. I saw the large physical therapy room, they have a beauty salon, and they have an open area on the first floor with a large TV, so they can all sit there and watch TV and it's open-air, and I liked that. We don't have to worry about the cold weather. This is Miami, and it's always hot. That was very nice. I think it is worth the money.

Residential Plaza at Blue Lagoon's staff was very nice. The memory care section looked very nice and clean. The patients seem to be engaged in the game they were doing. The lobby of the place was a bit rundown, but the rooms appear to be very clean. The dining area was quite big and the food is served to them. The meal they served that day seemed to be a complete meal and the people seemed to be enjoying it.

Our mom moved in to RPBL about 3 years ago and we are so pleased with the care our mom is receiving. As a good Cuban daughter, I was very hesitant at first and was resistant to placing my mom in a "nursing home". I had preconceived notions about nursing homes. We needed to find a solution to the fact that our mom could no longer live alone. Out of the encouragement from my sister, we checked out a few facilities and RPBL was the only one that I felt might be a good fit for our mom. I discussed with our mother (you need to get buy in from them) and she agreed to give it a try. What we learned is that the Assisted Living Facility gave her a few more years of quality in her life. The staff is AMAZING! We feel they truly care for the residents. They have activities throughout the day that keeps them entertained with choices, something I could not provide if she were living with me. I am so thankful we found this place at such a reasonable cost. Thank you Barbara from the bottom of my heart for doing such a good job at managing this operation. Your loving kindness is evident by the staff you hire. We are blessed.

Residential Plaza had about 16 floors and was nice. They had a library, beauty parlor, played bingo, had theater performances, and did some painting and crafts. They served three meals.

WE RECENTLY NEEDED TO PLACE TWO FAMILY MEMBERS. WE SELECTED RESIDENTIAL PLAZA BECAUSE IT IS NEAR OUR HOME. OUR FAMILY MEMBERS HAVE RECEIVED EXCELLENT CARE SINCE THE DAY THEY ARRIVED.

I visited Residential Plaza at Blue Lagoon. It is a full building dedicated for assisted living, so in that sense it’s pretty unique because it is an environment that is shared with nothing else. They have well organized the first few floors dedicated to either the activities for the elders or the administration and that kind of stuff, and then everything else was just for the residents. I was able to visit a couple of rooms, and they looked pretty well. Personally, I liked the place, but it’s just that the family has decided not to pursue this option right now. I liked it very much.

My grand-aunt is very happy in Residential Plaza at Blue Lagoon, and we’re very happy with the service. It has excellent service, and everything is great. The rooms are very nice and very spacious. The facility is very upscale. I haven’t eaten there, but my aunt has told me that the food is great.

I placed my mothetr there over 10 years ago. This place is clean, has a staff that really cares. They have in house Doctors, they have actities for all of the residents on a daily basis. I wanted a place where that mother could call home and feel secure , happy and that is exactly what I found in this place. The Administratosr and her staff are always on the ball and they are very accsesible. They have a great lunch room and they provide healthy meals to all of the residents. I looked for many other places and this is the place that I felt very good about it. In the 10 years plus that my mother has lived there I have never had a complaint and my mother has never complain to me of any abuse or maltreatment. I recommend this place highly.

We decided to visit Residential Plaza at Blue Lagoon assisted living facility as it is convenient for my friend's mother's family and friends. The safety of the high-rise building was appealing, with great city views. The building was very well maintained and appeared very pleasant throughout. The outer grounds were also very pretty with a nice courtyard and seating areas. There was a variety of types of food available - for example, choices ranged from a complete meal to snacks or lighter fare, for those who wanted it. Every dietary concern seemed to be well addressed. The dining rooms were restaurant style, cozy, warm and still fresh. The living spaces were spacious and well-designed. All of the areas were pleasant to be in. There were plenty of professional, yet friendly staff to take care of all of their needs. The activities list was impressive. From board games to karaoke and bingo, there are many interesting things to do for the residents. The staff was able to take care of a variety of people, from those with memory issues to those less ambulatory. Planned outside excursions include many healthy physical activities so that the seniors can enjoy everything that Miami has to offer. They also have planned exercise classes and encourage physical activity. All of the seniors looked very well cared for and seemed quite content living within this environment. They had plenty of freedom and just the right amount of care necessary.
