The Colonial Inn assisted living facility exterior looked really well-kept when we arrived. My friend's mother really wants to stay in the Florida region, so we were checking out places for her to live. The communal areas all had interesting activities going on, from card games to socializing and reading. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. The patio areas also had barbeques where they may host private parties. The seniors are encouraged to exercise daily and have access to classes and walks around the grounds and beyond. The events calendar included a wide variety of restaurants, art museums, festivals, fairs and other cultural activities. They also host a number of celebrations and parties for residents at the facility which they encourage friends and family to participate in. The living suites were all a nice size and did not seem cramped. They were also beautifully decorated. The food choices looked nutritious and delicious, as well as the regular snacks - offered all day long. The dining areas were nicely decorated, comfortable, bright and cheerful. We thought this was a very nice place for seniors to live, with kind and caring staff and plenty of interesting things to do.
