Jefferson House is fairly modern and up to date. The residents had their own, semi-private rooms and a very nice dining room. One drawback was that the monthly fee was $14,000. Many of the residents were confined to wheelchairs. Some of them were well into their 80s and 90s, and snoozing in their wheelchairs. They were highly rated on Medicare.gov.

Cedar Mountain Commons was a cheery and friendly place. It was a nice community, but the apartment was too small for my parents. There wasn't much of anything in terms of amenities, although the food was very good. My parents did not take part in any of the social stuff, but there's bingo and card games. From the people serving dinner to the people caring for you, they are fantastic. The facility itself is very clean and very beautiful.

Cedar Mountain Commons is not the facility for me. It’s too big, too sprawling, not the programming that I’m looking for at this point. It’s attractive, and clean. The location is fine, although it’s not the location that I necessarily want.

I looked at Cedar Mountain Commons, and I like it very much. I was leaning towards that, but I am not ready for about two years. We went for dinner, and the food is delicious. My daughter and I were very impressed. It is extremely clean. They have a room that has a full kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, and microwave.

My 90 year old Uncle was treated with dignity every step of the way. The last year of his life was the very best it could be because of the competence in providing care as well as loving support that he received. In addition, communication with me as his health care representative was very timely and helpful. I always left the conversations knowing they were doing their very best on his behalf.

A more careing nursing staff. The nurses I came in contact with were the coldest.

We placed my dad at Cedar Mountains Commons, and it has worked out just fine. We chose it because of the location. For us it is better because my brother and I both live in the area, so it is a place we can go to and get involved with. The facility is very clean and modern. The common areas, as well as the individual apartments, are all very well kept, up to date, and clean. Everybody is friendly, and I have not encountered anybody there who is not friendly. They give extra time. They learn all of the resident's names and family. The staff seems very attentive and engaging. The dining area is nice. The food quality is good. For the new residents, they send out invitations for up to eight guests to come to a private dinner. They seem to have things going on for the residents, but I have not seen them.
