"Jefferson House is fairly modern and up to date. The residents had their own, semi-private rooms and a very nice dining room. One drawback was that the monthly fee was $14,000. Many of the residents were confined to wheelchairs. Some of them were well into their 80s and 90s, and snoozing in their wheelchairs. They were highly rated on Medicare.gov. "

"My mother moved into Jefferson House. She had been there for three months of rehab. The upkeep is good. The layout is fine. The nurses and CNAs are just wonderful. They're a caring group. My mother, who is fussy, likes the food. They have activities. My mom has been very happy there."

"Both my grandparents stayed at this facility together in the same room. My grandmother was ill, my grandfather paid "rent" to stay with her so they could be together. The staff that I met were attentive, kind and friendly. They made conversation with my grandparents and seemed to genuinely enjoy meeting me and their other visitors. The amenities seemed appropriate for the type of facility. The dining room was impressive looking and inviting - decorative in a way that helped the patients feel as though they were at home vs. eating in a dining hall. The facility was easy to access. Parking was sufficient. The building didn't have that hospital smell that I expected even though I visited during dinner time. The building and my grandparents' room was clean, modern, and the decor was simple yet comfortable. I know that my grandparents enjoyed staying here. They said the nursing staff was exceptional. Each time they go back, the staff remembers them which helps them to feel at ease during the transition back into the facility. "

"I toured Avery Heights. It's a beautiful place, it looked like they have a camaraderie there among the guests. It was very well kept, and it was beautiful inside. The staff was very nice. The rooms were very well laid out, it was spacious enough."

"The staff my okay, mostly left people alone with their family when guests where there only popping in to give food, medicine, and to check up. The food wasn't very good but that's something you kinda expect in an assisted living facility. The hospital was very clean and the dietary staff was very good and accommodated my grandmother excellently. Building it self is very nice and is and is in a very nice area next to Goodwin park on the Hartford Wethersfield border. It is a very secure facility, but is nice, not industrial and sterile looking like some look. They have all the activities and amenity that youd expect in a nursing home like haor salon, cafeteria, bingo, and community rooms and such. The people there are mostly elderly and some younger patients in need of physical rehab and such. "

"My Grand mother was a resident at this facility she has alzheimers and diabetes. She was just recently admitted to the hospital because her sugar level was crazy high she almost slipped into a diabetic coma cause of this facility. My aunt and myself just went to visit her the day of the incident when we arrived she was slumped in a chair sweating sitting by the nursing station and no one (NURSES OR CNA'S) noticed something was wrong? so who knows how long she's been sitting there. When we arrived we tried to say hi and she wasn't responding so we called the nurse so she could check her sugar levels she did, it was like 800 then we asked was it done in the morning and didnt get an answer. An ambulance came took her to hospital and when she recovered she didn't go back now she is at amberwoods in farmington ct. "

"My mother is in Ellis Manor. I think it is serving her very well. They are taking good care of her. However, it is struggling like a lot of the nursing homes. They’re struggling right now because of funding, and it is not their fault. However, the overall care is excellent. They’re taking very good care of my mother. She needs more care now than she did before. My mother has her own her room, but she shares a bathroom with somebody else. It is not spacious because it’s a nursing home, but she has a TV and her bed. It is nothing like living in a facility, but they are taking very good care of her. Right now, they’re in the process of changing how they do care for people there. They’re dropping their staff for one thing, and they’re also putting a new thing at the place, that if you’re walking by and somebody needed your help whether you were their aide or not, you are to go in and help them no matter what. I think they’re upping their care level. I think they’re trying to do the best they can. "

"Cassena Care at New Britain is not beautiful, but it certainly seemed to have excellent care. My sister had liked it, and she is doing better than she had with another place. It was excellent and the food was pretty good, not as bland as some places. It's just not as attractive since it's an older nursing home, but it's very clean. The staff seemed more than efficient, kind, and nice."

"Serving as a Conservator for a resident affords me the opportunity to interact with many functions of Amberwoods. Meeting with team members is truly a pleasant experience. Including, amongst other functions, are medical, maintenance, finance and admissions. Every member is dedicated to the resident's well being. Please note that they will keep you up to date on your resident's wholeness. I am fully satisfied with this facility as the place for my conservatee. If a facility is in your or a close someone's future, please give Amberwoods consideration. "

"So far, I haven't found anything that I like least about Jerome Home & Arbor Rose. What I like best is they are very understanding, willing, and very helpful when it comes to working with my mom and she seems to enjoy the other residents. The staff is very accommodating, very helpful, and extremely friendly. The facility is extremely clean. Some parts of the building are older, but it's still beautiful. My brother saw the activities and he was impressed, and he's the kind of person who is hard to impress."

"I'm in Apple Rehab Rocky Hill. It's very good. They're very nice. The food is hot, so that's good. The food is good. The staff is very nice, and they come when you call them. The place itself is very nice. It's comfortable. I'm in a private room right now, though I won't be when I go to Medicare. Sometimes the food is better than others. Most of the staff members are very nice, calm, and very accommodating. They're really good at cleaning every day, washing the floors, and emptying the garbage. The outside looks very nice, and the facility is nice."

"Ledgecrest Health Care is old, but the staff is outstanding. I like the people the most. They do activities mostly during the day. Overall, they've been great."

"My dad spent 2 weeks at The Reservoir. Staff, save one nurse named Larry, was outstanding. Coordination and communication could use some work, but given everything they have to do, they do well. Also, when problems emerge they are quickly addressed. "
