This place is smoke and mirrors. They like to put up a good front but when you really get behind the curtain, they are all about the money. They serve the cheapest low quality food, no activities. Your loved one will just sit an stare at a TV. The owner is money driven, not people driven. You have been warned. This is not the place for your loved one. Keep searching.

Goodwin Manor was a small facility, and I liked it. The staff was good, and the rooms were very much like home; it was adequate and clean. They have an open dining room.

My mother has been at Goodwin Manor since December, and they've been taking very good care of her so far. This facility is a private home assisted living. It is close -- only 5 miles away from where I live. Her room is beautiful, very light, and open. They do have someone who does exercise with them and someone who does arts and crafts. They have community people and churches that come in, and they do music and singing. This is a locked facility, very clean, warm, and caring, and so far we're very happy. She is very happy, and she is sleeping through the night. She is monitored for her Alzheimer's and, her medications, and her diet.
