My mother is happy down there at Santee Golden Care. Everything is going good with her. The atmosphere is very good. It's a house and there are only six people there, so it works out great. I haven't tried a meal yet, however all the ladies rave about the food. They said it's great. I know my mom is eating every day, which she isn't used to doing. I think it's a great place. The lady that runs the place has exercises for them every day, she plays Bingo with them, they play cards, and she keeps them busy. The owner's brother is there and he takes them out for walks every day. She also takes them out to see the Christmas lights. I couldn't be happier with where she's at. The staff is very caring, and they really have their people's best interest in mind. Since it's a house, there aren't really any amenities, but they have a little garden patio out back where they can go walk around.
