My friend and I went to take a look at Melrose Manor in Chula Vista, while were there checking out places for he and his wife to live. The property had plenty of park-like space with large trees and nicely manicured lawns. The back area featured many places for seniors to enjoy around the grounds safely. The common areas were nicely decorated and home-like. There were many places for residents to enjoy a variety of activities, from games to reading and seeing films. The entire environment was soothing and peaceful, which they both would appreciate. There were also plenty of places to enjoy safely. They can adjust care levels according to need. Residents were encouraged to use the exercise facilities to take classes or use equipment and may also safely go on walks around the outside. They had many food options and varieties that looked delectable. The staff will also prepare special requests. Dining rooms were nicely designed, spacious and warm. Seniors were encouraged to drink plenty of fluids, and snacks were offered regularly and whenever requested. The private rooms were decorated tastefully with a homey, light and airy atmosphere. Each unit has nice views of the surrounding area. Bathrooms were designed with safety seats and rails. The facility is close to the metro area so that residents may enjoy all of the local events, art, culture, music, shopping and fine and casual dining offered. In all, this is a lovely facility with caring and attentive staff. All of the resident's needs appear to be met easily and efficiently, in a friendly and caring way.
