"I like Layton Terrace Senior Living. It's clean here. They're remodeling a lot of stuff and painting stuff now, but other than that, I've got a great view out the window. There's a whole big long piece of green grass, and then there's about five or six evergreen trees and other little trees. It's a great view. So far, the people I've talked to have been nice. They are great."

"I toured Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living. The gal who toured me around was wonderful, and the residents were friendly. The facility was very clean, but it was an older facility. The one downside was that the parking for visitors outside was very poor, but otherwise, they had a lot of activities. I was given a calendar with the activities, a menu calendar, a price catalog, and the dimensions of all the rooms. They were beautiful-sized rooms, much bigger than I expected, and nicely set up. However, the bathroom could have been updated in the shower area."

"Cornerstone of Oak Creek is truly a one of a kind Assisted Living Facility! There holistic approach to life coaching skills is amazing!Residents here thrive on the care and atmosphere that they are provided each and every day. The Cornerstone and its staff are very tentative to all matters and always involve all members of your loved ones care team with all decision making efforts. I personally was astonished by the clean, friendly atmosphere the cornerstone provides. I personally would give it a A++++. Cornerstones goes above and beyond and I am glade to have toured such an outstanding facility! Hats off to Cornerstone for always going the extra mile! "

"I visited Oak Park Place Oak Creek. Its set up on the main floor is for assisted living, and the lower level is for memory care. The tour went well. The gentleman spent time with me explaining the different levels of care, and the process that one would go through if we're interested in pursuing an apartment or location there. He showed me both a studio and a one-bedroom, the dining area and different little nooks, the library, and the activities area. The building is new, they opened right before COVID and they're still not at 100% capacity. He said they were maybe at about 70%. It's very clean light and light. I was there around 4:00 PM, so some of the residents were in their rooms, and I didn't see a whole lot of activity going on at that time. But there was a list of that day's events. They were starting out with just a general conversation, and then they were going to do some craft activities. Then they were talking about getting together for a kind of like a Sunshine Club for the residents. It was monitored as far as having a code to get in as well as out, of the passageways from one level to the next. They have a nice little patio area where residents could go out and get some fresh air. I believe they had a separate area for a walk-in tub that the residents could use because everything was walk-in showers. They did the laundry, but I didn't see the laundry facilities. The laundry and the housekeeping would be included. They would look to doing an assessment when a resident comes in, looking at the level of care that's required. I did not see a menu there, but they said they have a chef who created the meals. The facility seems very large and knowing my mother, I think it's a little too large for her. I'd be looking for something a little homier, and maybe not as spread out, because there'd be quite a bit of walking from an apartment to the dining hall area. The staff who gave me the tour was very informative and wanted to make sure that I had all my questions answered. I was given a little folder with information about the facility as well as instructions or information as to the next steps, should I decide to pursue residence there."

"Brookdale Brookfield seemed nice. I thought it might have been a little dated. It could need a little more sprucing up in regards to newer things. The TV and lounge area was really good. The outdoor patio and outdoor area were very good. The staff was very nice and professional. The rooms seemed very nice. I wish it were a little bigger, but the bathroom was wonderful. It was a very nice, large bathroom. The shower and bathing area were very, very nice."

"We're moving into Library Square Senior Living. We like the place. The apartment was bigger than the one I had looked at. It had a dishwasher, but some didn't. It is the most affordable for us. It is bright and cheerful. The apartment has a stove, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher. The staff who took us around was wonderful. They provide 20 meals apiece per month and we can choose between lunch and dinner. We have a patio-like, little deck with our apartment. Not all apartments have that, but we're on the first floor and we have one. However, they're remodeling all the common spaces right now."

"My mother is in Oak Creek Place. The staff has been very helpful and understanding. The food I've eaten there was good. The overall care has been what I would consider to be relatively good in that my mom has incontinence and sometimes they don't get to her soon enough, but for the most part they have been very helpful and patient with her. They have all kinds of activities and a theater. They constantly play games and have family nights and Fridays they have music. The residents are happy. Overall, it's a nice facility."

"They were able to accommodate my mother to family care and it meets her needs right now. Lisa, i can't remember her last name, the Director, was very friendly! She made accommodations for my mother and she got her settled in fairly quickly. She did what's needed to be done. She did everything and it seems to be a really nice place from what I could tell. The staff I've seen and talked with are all so very friendly and willing to help. The place feels homey. There's a little gift shop in there, the dining areas were all nice, they got recreation areas, they got plenty of activities scheduled for the people there. Their meal time is not one set time, there's like an hour and a half for you to come down to eat. Unlike where she was, you don't have to be there at a certain time, or you don't eat. If you don't like their meals you can take a light meal. They have a waiter come to the table and ask you what your choice is. Everything just seems more accommodating! "

"Home Harbor Racine is the ideal choice for me and my husband. It's assisted living, but we're going in as independent seniors. Down the road when we need assistance, they could offer it. They just change your package to have an aide come to your room and help you with your mild care. They're very polite and they've got everything you need. There's a barber, a beauty salon, and a library. It is well-maintained for everything you need and they also do outings where they provide transportation to take you to different places. We will get one meal a day in the dining room (that's at lunchtime). It's a big meal because they want to make sure you eat one nutritious meal a day, and then I can make breakfast and supper in our apartment. So, I'm pleased with that. They offer a range of motion/physical activity in the basement and then they have stuff scheduled throughout the day that you're welcome to participate in so you don't have to stay in your apartment and be a recluse. It's nice and it just sounds like an ideal place. Almost like a dream come true."
