"We visited the Brookdale Brookfield Woelfel Road's memory care, and they seem very good. It's just that it's a much bigger facility, and we are looking for the individual care that we're going to get in a smaller group setting. That was the only thing. Otherwise, my wife and I were very interested in staying there. The rooms we saw were adequate. They're not there for entertaining people, so they're not big. Parts of the facility are a little bit older, but they're redoing a lot of things right now, so in the next couple of months, some areas are going to be refurbished. Other than that, it's very clean and neat. The dining area was very nice, attractive, and clean as expected. The parking is all outdoor parking, but it's fine. They don't have much staff turnover, so there are people who have been there for quite a few years, which says a lot about the place."

"It is very nice, and you can go for at least two weeks. They have a lot of things going, and it was a smaller place, but that's OK, and it's very clean. The people were very, very pleasant, and the room was very nice. The building was quite new. They gave us a very big tour of the place."

"My dad is here and is doing very well. It is a good place. He seems to be happy. They are pretty open with everything and are very pleasant, warm, accommodating, polite, and respectful. It has been a month, but so far, we have not had a problem. They have a gathering area and a pretty large backyard. "

"I had an in-person tour and it was very good. The staff showed me a room that was going to be available, and they told me some of the things that were going on. But what I want is not available yet, so we have to wait a little while. Other than that it was very informative for me and helped in my decision. The facility was very clean. It was lunchtime, and they were very busy helping the patients get their lunch. When people in the memory care unit were asking questions they were always answered in a positive way. The aids were not affected by being asked the same questions. They were never rude to the patients, which was very nice. The staff was friendly. Everybody was doing their job. It was a very nice facility. Even the room that I got to see seemed to be quite adequate, and something that I would feel comfortable having my husband go to."

"I toured Wilkinson Woods Senior Living. I very much liked the entire vibe and aesthetic of the place. The executive director had a wonderful personality, was very energetic, and was able to read my reactions. It was very pleasant, and I thought the place was lovely."

"Our experience with Oak Park Place Wauwatosa was very good. The person that I worked with, John, was responsive to all of my questions, and we were immediately impressed by the living arrangement. The reason why we are actually choosing this place is because of the cost and the studio unit and the one-bedroom unit were the largest units among the other communities. We have received their regularly scheduled events. They just had an Elvis impersonator out there, and the former football coach from the University of Wisconsin was making an appearance. There were dining areas on each floor and they were nice. There weren't as many people as I expected in the dining area, but I think they were still encouraging COVID restrictions. The place seems very clean to me, too."

"I toured Library Square Senior Living. The thing I liked best about it was it was very clean. Everybody there seemed to be well taken care of and very upbeat. The things I didn't like, I don't think there were too many things. It's like being located on a bus line, so I would have transportation. The fire station is a couple of blocks down, so the ambulances would be very close. There's a grocery store about four blocks down, so you could go grocery shopping. The only thing I would say about it is it's not in a location where there'd be a lot of stores. However, I like the fact that it's placed behind the West Dallas Public Library and you almost can't see it. So it's very secluded. I like that part. They had a little store where you could pick up little things, laundry detergent if we needed it, and snacks and things like that. They also had a beauty shop there. They had a lot of areas like a puzzle area where if you liked to work on puzzles there was always a couple going on and people were there. There was a library. There was a TV room and an exercise area. I haven't had any food there, however, the chef was there talking to us a little bit, and from the things he was talking about, it sounded like it was pretty good food. The staff was wonderful. She spent a lot of time with me and made sure that we traveled through the whole facility to see everything and showed me several rooms, not just one. So, that was good."

"My father was one of the first memory care residents to move in when the new facility was built, so 15 months so far. The staff is caring and dedicated with little visible turnover. Doctor visits are scheduled right on site, so are haircuts. All medicines are administered by the staff. The price is very competitive compared to others in the area. Memory care residents have daily activities which are then posted on Facebook, so besides virtual visits, we can see what happened that day. I am able to contact staff during any shift for dad's health updates and as POA, request necessary services (Podiatry, physical therapy, etc.) The memory care floor has nice clean rooms, which are more apartment-like vs a hospital setting. Resident supply all of their own furnishings, photos, art and personal items, so it feels like their home. My dad likes the cooking and enjoys the dining room setting. Skype visits can be set up through the activities director. Visits were virtual during Covid, but now 2 family members can visit at a time during set hours. "

"Cornerstone of Oak Creek is truly a one of a kind Assisted Living Facility! There holistic approach to life coaching skills is amazing!Residents here thrive on the care and atmosphere that they are provided each and every day. The Cornerstone and its staff are very tentative to all matters and always involve all members of your loved ones care team with all decision making efforts. I personally was astonished by the clean, friendly atmosphere the cornerstone provides. I personally would give it a A++++. Cornerstones goes above and beyond and I am glade to have toured such an outstanding facility! Hats off to Cornerstone for always going the extra mile! "

"I went to Hart Park Square Senior Living. They were very nice, but I think the youngest person there was probably 80. They don't have skilled nursing there. They just have some assisted stuff. They have the bingo and the typical things that one thinks of as kind of the traditional nursing home or senior facility. That's not my generation. They had a lot of activities. They have Sheepshead, which is a card game, which I don't play, things that my parents would probably like to do rather than me. The staff was very nice and they did provide meals there. They were a little bit cheaper, but their rooms were smaller. They didn't have central air-conditioning. They had a unit in the wall in the living room. I asked what about the bedroom? She said, "The cooling from the living room will go into the bedroom" and I didn't like that. They were very close to a railroad track. The people that we encountered seemed happy and seemed nice, but I just knew when I walked in, that this one is not for me. It was clean, but I didn't like the air-conditioning setup and that the rooms were smaller."

"They were able to accommodate my mother to family care and it meets her needs right now. Lisa, i can't remember her last name, the Director, was very friendly! She made accommodations for my mother and she got her settled in fairly quickly. She did what's needed to be done. She did everything and it seems to be a really nice place from what I could tell. The staff I've seen and talked with are all so very friendly and willing to help. The place feels homey. There's a little gift shop in there, the dining areas were all nice, they got recreation areas, they got plenty of activities scheduled for the people there. Their meal time is not one set time, there's like an hour and a half for you to come down to eat. Unlike where she was, you don't have to be there at a certain time, or you don't eat. If you don't like their meals you can take a light meal. They have a waiter come to the table and ask you what your choice is. Everything just seems more accommodating! "

"My mother-in-law was a resident of The Arboretum Senior Living. It was a very nice community for her. There were activities for her to go to, and she went to the dining hall for dinner once a day, so she had interaction with other people. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the facilities were well-kept and clean. They would sometimes have groups come in to sing or play music, and the food was very good."
