"Village at Manor Park catered to individuals that are recuperating from hospital visits and so forth. They also have long-term and short-term care. Very nice and very good staff. They had PT areas for the geriatric care as well. "

"San Camillo was very lovely. It looked like a village, and they had about a thousand residents. They have a big, big facility, and you don't have to go outside if you don't want to. It has a lot for people who are very active. You can buy a condominium and you pay for it with a lot of money, and then when you are ready to move on to the area where they can care for you, they'll buy that from you for like 90% of what you paid. But you pay a monthly fee, which is very expensive. The staff people were all around doing things. I saw a lot of staff when we went through the area where there was a lot of care needed. There was this one woman who was a little more able and she said we could go in her room, and her room was really nice. She had a nice view, and even though it was on a busy corner, she doesn't even know that it's there. Once you're in the building -- which was built very strong -- it's like it is all steel and it was all very quiet. The care that you get when you get to that point looked like it was really good. "

"My mother moved into Congregational Home. Our experience is pleasant, the staff is very nice, and my mother likes it there. If we have problems, they take care of it right away. They stop in to see her and they're very professional. All the people that we met there were very friendly and we liked the location. They have all kinds of stuff for the residents, they go on field trips, they have get-togethers, and they do yoga and all kinds of exercise things and so on. I like how nice and clean the place is. My mom has her own washer and dryer, and she cooks in her own kitchen. We looked at a couple of places and this one was the best for us."

"Saint John's Milwaukee, located along Prospect Ave that borders Lake Michigan, is the newest senior residential complex in the city. I have a retired friend that just moved in there back in July when they opened. There is not much else to say besides this place is breathaking!My friend has a south facing apartment on the 11th floor that looks out over the Port of Milwaukee and the downtown marina. All the amenities in the apartment are high-end as well, including a personal balcony, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a beautiful kitchen.Additionally, the location is in a great place. Just 5 minutes from downtown, as well as close to shops, restaurants, and the Lake Michigan beach as well.The staff is friendly and welcoming, and help my friend with whatever he needs. I know this place may seem over the top for an assisted-living-facility, but for the people that can afford it it is more than worth it! "

"We have our 97-year-old mother at Newcastle Place in Mequon. It's been great, she has received excellent care, she loves the community, she loves all of the activities they do with her, and she couldn't be any happier. The staff is terrific, they couldn't be any nicer and any more professional. She absolutely adores them. Newcastle is a godsend, it's provided everything she needed and much, much more. The environment is wonderful, their food is wonderful, their nursing and attention to all of the residents is wonderful. I was surprised at the size of her assisted living room. The independent living apartment she moved into in this facility was way more spacious than the one we moved her from in Ohio, so she was very happy in independent living. We were concerned that the size of her assisted living apartment may not be enough for her, but we were pleasantly surprised at the size of it. She was actually able to keep about 90 percent of everything she had in her former apartment and put it in her assisted living room."
