"Village at Manor Park was a big community and had all the facilities. My mom used to have her own apartment, and she also had rehab. I used to have lunch with my mom and the food was fine. I felt like I knew more about my mother than the caregivers there, they weren't totally up-to-speed on things. They have people that would volunteer to come in and play music for the residents, they also play Bingo and games like that."

"I have been a private caregiver of a resident in Senior Independent Living at San Camillo. Prior to this I worked as an EMT for an ambulance service for Milwaukee Waukesha & SE Wisconsin. I have had the opportunities, to work within almost every facility, in these above listed areas between both jobs. I love San Camillus Community ! Everyone is friendly, kind, & neighborly. I have experienced places that have a religious background " hold themselves" in a higher accountability to those they serve. There are many assorted activities available here to continue "community" actively with each other. This attributes to being social, and creates new friends, physical activity, positive mental health, enriched daily spiritual life. All Residents & employees help Seniors to be involved in life, which helps with loneliness many face, in their golden years. Residents encourage each other to attend meals and all activities, helping everyone to feel wanted, needed and cared about. San Camillus is kept very clean and tidy and quickly takes care of any maintenance needed. They provide many different types of skilled maintenance employees avail to handle any situation. Someone is always available to assist with medical emergencies. Meals are A-1. A large variety of meals including daily soups, assorted fruit and vegetable salads, 2 main entree selections, vegan meals and assorted beverages including "happy hour" drinks. Delishious desserts including sugar free items too ! They are very accommodating to special needs for foods. Staff are very professional and friendly. Anything you may need, they will be able to assist you with, or assist with getting you in contact with the appropriate people. This is a very Positive place to live, work and visit ! I only hear positive comments from residents and their families and workers who make this place, a place to work for years. I continuously recommend San Camillus Community for my own family and friends and acquaintances and am proud to be part of this Community, that is a positive home for our Seniors. I've worked in and visited many facilities, but this Religious based St Camillus Community is welcoming and always attentive to all needs and operates in highly respectable fashion in all aspects ! "I like Tudor Oaks Senior Living Community. I think they have a lot of nice services to offer the residents. There wasn't a whole lot that I didn't like about them. The staff members are very nice and very knowledgeable. The facilities are clean. It goes around in a circle, so you can't get lost for too long. They have nice grounds, too. There were a lot of activities. The residents were up and about and doing their thing. The layouts of the rooms are good, but in terms of size, they could be a little bit bigger."

"This is a great facility. The rooms are spacious with private bathrooms. The variety of activities is wonderful, and there are even evening activities. The staff are friendly and truly care for their patients. My dad has been there for 4 months now and we haven't encountered anyone who isn't kind and patient with him. The gardens are beautiful and well cared for. "

"It was comfortable. It has a nursing care component. It was larger with higher storage. It appealed to the community with art exhibits and they had performers who came in for the residents. They also had field trips and the staff was wonderful. I would recommend them to others. "

"I'm currently at Newcastle Place. I've been here for 8 to 10 years now. I've been here a long time, so I must be pretty satisfied. The place had been bought several times during these years. Initially, when I first came, I believe it was more like a not-for-profit place, and over time, it was now a for-profit company. So they look for any way that they can cut back, and with that done, they have not compromised the quality that much. We've noticed a decrease in the quality of the foodservice. It's not below average or nothing is unacceptable. It's just that before, it was higher quality. The maintenance has stayed pretty good. The housekeeping has been good. The response time to problems has been good. The staff is generally in a good mood. My room is considered as one-bedroom in the mid-size range. It does not have a dishwasher, a cooktop, oven, or garbage disposal, I think, all for safety reasons. The bathroom is a shower, toilet, and sink. Well, there's pool and whirlpool, which has been out of commission, it seemed like for a long time, but it is there. They have exercise classes and yoga classes. Every morning there's an exercise class that people could do like from your wheelchair or your chair. Every day there are several activities to pick from. We have happy hours. There's a fair amount of bingo. Every day, there are one or two group activities like crafts and those things. They'll show video in the corporate gathering room. They have coffee and donut in the morning. They have bible studies, they have a chapel with church services, different denominations, and whatnot. There are some things they could probably be added to improve a little bit. They're expensive but you get what you pay for. It is expensive, but the value is still there."
