"Heritage Meadows (Formerly Erdley's Sunnyside Personal Care Home) is wonderful. They go out of their way to make my mother comfortable and do what she needs. Everybody's very nice. There's two to a room, but it's very clean and very organized. They have bingo, a beautician comes in every couple of weeks, one of the girls does their nails, and they have a band that comes in once a month. The food is good and she likes it. It's a bright, happy place and very clean. They're full all the time. The young couple who run it are very dedicated. Everything is great."

"I went to Rivercliff Terrace in Kittanning. I knew of other residents who were there, and it's really close to me. It's only like five minutes away. It's very neat, they have very friendly people to work with, and they have nice rooms. My friend is starting to get dementia, but they'll keep her as long as she can feed herself or walk. She's able to do some things herself. I just went in for a tour, just looking for a room. I know it's all home-cooked food. They have two floors, but I can get a room downstairs. They have porches where they can go out and sit, and they have a riverfront view. They do exercises. It's probably five minutes from the hospital."

"Melody Manor is actually two joined houses that's been converted into a home for seniors. My mother’s been there for two months now. They are a caring staff and the residents just love them. Friday morning I went to look at the place and everything was so nice. There was homemade bread cooling on the counter in the kitchen. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and now it’s decorated for Valentine’s Day. The menus are good, and the place is clean and smells good. It really has a beautiful, homey atmosphere, and the caretakers are fantastic. However, it’s an hour away from me, and the price is an issue because my mother does not have very much money. It’s just a very nice atmosphere, and I don’t know that I would want to move her since they take good care of their residents. If she has any difficulty, they make sure she’s OK, and they have a doctor come in once a week. It’s just an ideal place for her. The people are so nice, including the residents and the staff. There are multiple rooms with singles, doubles, and some with four beds. There are bathrooms either attached to the rooms or just across the hall from the rooms, and they have showers where people can go in and sit down, take the hand nozzle and wash themselves off or they will help the residents. The staff is just amazing, and the residents love them. "

"Mom stayed at Rivercliff Terrace for a couple of months. It was like a nice home and the staff was great and kind. But you had to totally take care of yourself to be there. I don't remember if they had two-bedrooms, but I knew they had one-bedroom apartments. "

"I visited Country Manor. Everybody seemed really nice and really happy. The rooms were very spacious and clean. There was a two-bedroom with a shared bathroom. There was also an efficiency with its own little kitchen set and bathroom that was all private. The dining area was more like a restaurant. They had very nice open grounds. There were some walking trails, too. I like the fact that you can come and go as you please, and that you're not like locked in there."

"Grey's Colonial Acres Personal Care Home smelled nice. They were very sweet and very nice. It was fantastic. The owner was the one who walked us through and she was very nice. Everything looked clean. They had a dining area and a sitting room, and I saw people in the hallway talking and being friendly to each other. I would highly recommend them. They had two rooms that would have been available if my brother wanted a two-bedroom place. Then they had a one-bedroom place that was going to be available as soon as they had it cleaned it. It was around the holidays, like Christmas, when we were up there. I noticed that on all the doors, they had all this wrapping paper and bows. On the bathroom door, they had a Santa Claus sitting on a commode and that caught my attention. They said they all get together and do those crafts for their doors."

"My father made his home at Margaret Manor for 2 years. The care he was given was wonderful. I visited 3 to 4 times a week and was very welcomed and treated like family by the owner and staff. They provide love and care for their residences and much need support for the families. "

"Quality Life Services had physical therapy and a lot of things that worked for me and enabled me to do things more on my own than I was before. They're very expensive, but they had good, quality work. We were crowded. They were putting more people in rooms that were made for two people. The people who worked for them were very good, but overworked and probably underpaid. The food was OK. Certain meals were good quality and certain meals were underrated and not that great. There were things that should've been done, but they could not do that because they didn't either have the time or the capabilities to do them. It was not a question of how bad they might have been, but rather how good they were with what they had. They made the rooms as attractive as they could. They had movies in a big open area until the coronavirus messed things up, and they had to narrow down the number of people in one space. It's a pretty facility, and they were adding on. They had construction of another wing going on, on the other side of the courtyard. They tried to make a variety of food preparations and sometimes they succeeded and sometimes they didn't. They offered physical therapy there, and they had a lady come in that would do your hair."

"We looked at Pine View Personal Care for my parents. It was a very old country home that looked like an old house that they added on to, and the bedrooms were very tiny. They were cramming two people and a dresser into a room, the bathroom in the hallway was shared by everyone. The setting was nice outside, but it was old. They added on a family room, and I think they had two TVs. It wasn't a good setting for someone with medical issues. They really tried to help me, though."

"My mom is here. It's a nice place. The staff members seemed nice and caring. My mom's room is pretty much spotless, except for the string that goes around the wall. When they need help, they pull the strings. It was all around the room. Her room is a good size. The dining area looked nice. It was like a cafeteria. The grounds are very nice. It has a courtyard and a smoking area. It's a country setting. They have activities."

"My mother is in Assisted Living At Rosebrook, and we've had a great experience so far. The building is, I wouldn't say new, but it's a newer facility and very homey. The rooms were a good size, and they were updated. There were nice amenities to it, the staff there is very friendly and helpful, and they have a lot of activities for the residents. The nurses and staff have been checking in regularly with my mother, and have been very helpful. My mom seems to like the food. She has to have a mechanical diet, so everything is chopped up finely, but they have a good variety. They get three meals and a snack every day, and they have been making accommodations for her so that she gets food that she's able to eat. They're changing up the snacks, like instead of a cookie she'll have pudding. They're just making sure that it's getting what she needs. They've got a variety of things for the people to do. They have a small library, they've got a small salon, and they have a little petting zoo in their bottom or ground floor. They've got a house cat that kind of greets everyone when they come in, they've got common areas that are very cozy with couches and TVs. They've also got several outdoor porches with seating and porch swings; it is very nice."

"As I drive Into the entrance to Concordia I see a sign that says "Healthcare Heroes Work Here". May I add Doers, Comforters,Listeners and Protectors. Heroes like Stephanie, Nancy,Carol and Joanne who work at the Adult Daycare Service. I know when I take my husband there he's going to receive the best care possible. They are not only caring for him but in a sorta way their caring for me too. I can take off my guard which allows me to relax, get some rest, and enjoy my life.
