My friend liked the food. It was not an issue for her. She loved it, so they had really good food. They also had a gym, a salon, and lots of group activities."

"My brother moved into Primrose Retirement Community of Lima on September 1st. It was the most beautiful one, and he was stunned by how beautiful it was. The room has very large, airy windows. It’s spacious and has a walk-in closet that’s as big as a room, and the bathroom is very large. So far, he’s very happy. I went there for lunch with him. I can’t eat sugar food, and they offered pie for lunch. They also had some kind of chicken in a wrap, and I think it was fried. I don’t care for the food at all, but my brother is very happy with it. It reminded me more of restaurant food. "

"I went to the assisted living and memory care unit of Burton's Ridge and had a very informative visit. I talked to Jenna, and she was very helpful. Also I have met with an elder law attorney, and she was familiar with them and has worked with them before. The facility was very aesthetically pleasing. It was very pretty, and I liked the accommodations. I also liked the fact that my loved one can have both physical therapy and speech therapy while he's there. They have activities for them, and the meals are provided. The rooms come furnished with a small refrigerator and a microwave. They also have places where the residents can go to visit with their families or other residents. There also is an outside area that was closed in that they could also get to if they would like."

"We thought the staff was very good to the patients. the facility was maintained well, clean. they had excellent caregivers for my mother in law, she liked them very much. The meals were prepared well, the doctor visited her daily, the facility was very good about her rehabilitation on a daily basis. they were very considerate to her personal needs and her personal likes and dislikes. when we visited they were very accomodating to the families. They took care of all the necessary insurance paperwork. They appeared very focused on her care and well being. A very nurturing environment. We were very thankful to have had them so close to our parents home there in Delphos Ohio. My mother in law enjoyed their company, the accommodations, the care she received, she said the food was good, she said she felt like she was very comfortable, rested well. We would definitely choose them again if we needed to. "

"We were able to see the extended care and the assisted living at Vancrest - Ada, and they were both very nice. It's a newer facility, and it was very lovely. Everyone was very friendly, very informational, and very organized. I was very impressed. The people were very helpful and answered our questions. I've been in touch with them off and on for availability, and they've been in contact with us."

"We had my mom in assisted living for two months. It is called Maple Crest. They are probably one of the top in the nation. This is totally private through Mennonite Home. It was absolutely fabulous. It was like a resort. The people were fantastic to my mother. There was nothing that was wrong with it. The people were great, and the food was great. There was nothing to worry about. They checked on Mom while she was there. The place didn't smell and it wasn't dirty. It was even cleaner than a lot of people keep their homes. I was pleased with this place. They had a crafts room where they had furnishings and everything set up; however, Mom wouldn't do any of that. My mom was the problem. I also wish she was still there. Unfortunately, she moved herself out. She hired movers and moved herself back home. "

"We toured Mennonite Memorial Home, and it was in a nice location. The rooms were nice, and the people were really friendly. I liked it really well. They have a wood shop, which is really good. I like that they have a nice big pond, and I can go fishing there. They have things to keep you busy, and that's what I like. It's in a country setting, and you're out of the city limits. It's really nice out there. It's beautiful. The one who toured us was a really nice lady. I can't recall what her name was exactly, but she was really nice. She took us all over, and she showed us several apartments. The apartments were really nice, but some were under construction for new carpet and being repainted."

"Putnam Heritage went above and beyond when caring for my dear friend. The staff was very friendly, well mannered, and loving. Whenever I visited the facility I always felt welcome and a part of their family. Immidately when you walk through the door you notice how beautiful it is and it never had a foul odor! Kudos to the staff at Putnam Heritage! I would highly reccomend! "

"Obbertein St. Marys was good. The only thing negative was some pretty strong smell in parts of the place. These are older people living there, so I understand why that happens, but I don’t think I had a very good feeling about that. The rooms seemed nice and adequate. It was a bit older but pretty well-kept overall, and it seemed an adequate care facility. They were all very friendly and helpful; it seemed like they had a good relationship with the residents, and they answered our questions. It was a little less expensive, but it was comparable. We have considered this place a lot just because it is very close to where my mother lives. It is within walking distance, so she has been there before, and she knows the people. "

"The Meadows has a homey atmosphere and a small community. There are a lot of rural fields and a pond to look at, and it's a lot cheaper. The dining room is great. They had a happy hour on Friday afternoons where the residents family can come in and have snacks. The staff is very pleasant. They have different things going on, like church services, bible studies, and bingo. There’s one area that is so nicely decorated that the community comes in and uses it for weddings. It’s been a very pleasant experience so far. "
