Vancrest of Delphos Assisted Living

My sister-in-law moved into Vancrest of Delphos Assisted Living. It's very nice. Everybody is very friendly. One of the big pros is that they won't bump her down. She has an apartment, and when she goes on Medicaid, they won't bump her down to a studio, as every other place would. They serve three meals a day. They exercise every day. They have a physical therapist come in and work with them in a group setting. Down in the cafeteria, they do exercises. They play bingo and have cookouts. They have a lot of activities. They give them an activity schedule because there's so much stuff going on. However, they don't allow pets. That's the only drawback. I can bring them to visit, but they're not allowed to stay. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We haven't had any problems with them at all. She's been very happy with the food. She makes her own breakfast. You're allowed to cook in your room, but you can't have a stove. She has a seven-in-one toaster oven. It bakes, broils, and grills. She makes her breakfast in her room because they have breakfast at 7:30, and she doesn't like getting up that early.

We thought the staff was very good to the patients. the facility was maintained well, clean. they had excellent caregivers for my mother in law, she liked them very much. The meals were prepared well, the doctor visited her daily, the facility was very good about her rehabilitation on a daily basis. they were very considerate to her personal needs and her personal likes and dislikes. when we visited they were very accomodating to the families. They took care of all the necessary insurance paperwork. They appeared very focused on her care and well being. A very nurturing environment. We were very thankful to have had them so close to our parents home there in Delphos Ohio. My mother in law enjoyed their company, the accommodations, the care she received, she said the food was good, she said she felt like she was very comfortable, rested well. We would definitely choose them again if we needed to.

I visited Vancrest of Delphos as a Medical Student during my Family Medicine Rotation in Delphos Ohio. When I was told that I was doing a portion of my rotation at a local nursing home, I expected a sad place filled with miserable people. Instead, I found a facility filled with caring staff, and residents enjoying a variety of activities, from simply socializing with their neighbors to structured activities with the staff. I examined several of the residents, and found them to be in good health and good spirits. The residents received excellent regular medical care, and the staff, while mostly nursing aides or medical assistants, was equal parts compassionate and professional. As a future medical professional, I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to the residents total needs; medical, psychological, social, emotional and spiritual. If the situation were to arise that required me to find a spot in an assisted living facility for a member of my family, and I was to find myself living near Delphos, Ohio, I would definitely strongly consider a placement in the Vancrest Assisted living facility of Delphos Ohio.

I recently visited this facility and have found that it is the cleanest well organized assisted living facility i've ever been in. The staff is very courteous in making sure I was directed to the correct department area. I also noticed that there were no staff members hanging around the hallways with nothing to do. Everyone seemed to be busy in their job duties.
