"Care One is a very nice place and very clean. It is very reasonable and very good. The lady was very nice in explaining everything. I can recommend it first of all because of the cleanliness of the place. That is very important at least for me. It is very clean, and everybody seems to be attentive. They have very good activities for somebody that really needs help. They also have an Alzheimer's area and assisted living. Whatever you need is there. The area is very nice as well. "

"Sunrise was older, but that didn’t bother me as much as the fact that they had a lot less storage in the rooms. I felt like the closet was very small. The staff seems very nice. They seem to have a pretty full list of activities. It is next door to Charlie Brown’s because that’s where my mother likes to go to eat. "

"My Aunt Alma was a resident of Sunrise in Paramus. My mother chose Sunrise for my Aunt when she had a stroke and required more care than our family could give. Aunt Alma made significant progress and seemed happy at Sunrise. After eight weeks my aunt was moved to the assisted living section of Sunrise and while we thought this was going to be for the best we realized quickly that it was not. My aunt needed more help than the assisted living could offer, but did not need to be in a nursing home either. After three months my mother pulled my Aunt from Sunrise and she came home to us and we hired an aid to come to the house 8-12 hours a day. My aunt improved with the one to one care and after a few months and my aunt moved into her own apartment. We don't have any hard feelings towards Sunrise, but it is an insitution and living in an insitution is difficult. "

"We had a tour at Emeritus at Emerson. It's a little premature, and for my husband it was not a good fit. I was able to visit and get an idea of what it is about. Everybody seemed very nice, but overall it did not seem like good fit for him right now. "

"The staff is excellent, my mother enjoyed the food they provided. The people are really nice and the room they showed us was really clean, although we thought it would be bigger but it's small. The atmosphere was pleasant. We also saw their calendar of activities. They said they take the residents here and there, to doctor's visits since they have a van, to shop at the mall, they do laundry, and they have a beauty shop. They also have rehab if you pay extra."

"I didn't see anybody there at Sunrise of Franklin Lakes. It is fairly new. It only opened recently. I just met the one employee, and she was very nice. I didn't really see much there. The room was a larger type of a room. It was larger than most of the rooms. It was set up very nicely, but I didn't see any residents or any other staff. The dining area looked beautiful, but I didn't see any menus. They have different seating areas where you can sit and talk, and they offered like a cafe for the residents where they can go and get something to eat at any time of the day. It's a brand-new place. It's beautiful and decorated gorgeously."

"We had been to Sunrise of Cresskill. We saw the lovely apartment. There was only one problem. It was only one bathroom and I required at least a half bathroom more. So, it would be bath and a half. It was a combination of independent and assisted and the other half of it was I guess Alzheimer's place. It was well kept. It had a very lovely dining hall. They had a lot of different things and activities that they provided for the seniors. There was an art class when we were there. The apartments were very nice. If it weren't for the fact that it was a one bathroom, I would have probably gone with it. The parking was accessible and not far from your apartment. It was very nice. I would recommend it to others. I would go there myself. I put my name on the list for a 2-bedroom because it has two bathrooms. "

"Sunrise of New City was over my budget. I saw an apartment that I liked, but I can't afford it. It's older, it's not updated, but it's not bad. The outside was very pretty, but the inside could use refurbishment. The apartment that I saw, the one that was almost seven hundred square feet, which I loved, I would give a five, but I couldn't afford it. The food was fine for me."

"My mother moved into Brookdale Wayne, and so far, it's been really good. We're there quite a bit, and they've been very caring. When I go there I don't find it depressing, and I interact more with the residents than my mother. Everybody greets me when I come in. The food is institutional, but it looks good to me, I found it OK; there are a lot of choices. They have tai-chi, they have a TV room with a very large TV, they have bingo, and I've seen them playing some games. There's a salon, a beautiful library with a gigantic TV, and comfortable couches."

"My cousin is a resident of Mira Vie at Clifton. It's a very nice and very clean facility. They're very accommodating. The wellness staff is very nice, and I'm very pleased with the place. I'm very happy with my choice. They do bring her to the activities in which she participates. I know they have bingo, they sing, they have movies, and they do mind games in the morning. They give them three meals a day and they have snacks at four. Some of her friends went to see her, and they even gave them a cake. It's expensive, but I'm satisfied with what we're getting there. They even have a movie theater. They have an art room, a music room, and other things."

"Atria Riverdale is very beautiful. The maintenance was clean. It's very high class. The living places, the public rooms, the movie theater, and the private dining area look very classy. The staff who gave the tour was fantastic. We had many questions, and she was just very knowledgeable and helpful."
