My aunt moved to Sunrise Franklin Lakes earlier this year. My aunt has always been a second mom to me. We were so concerned about how she would adjust to living in a memory care setting. We could not be more pleased with how well she has adjusted. I visit frequently and feel so confident that her needs are being met. I often arrive to find my aunt engaged in activities. Seeing her smile and laugh with her new friends brings joy to our family!

Sunrise of Franklin Lakes is a brand new Assisted Living community offering a variety of apartment styles with spacious common areas, a movie theater, Bistro, restaurant style dining and a Physical Therapy room. Our Live with Purpose Activity Program promotes resident engagement and continued physical, emotional and spiritual health.
The community also offers a Memory Care neighborhood with specialized programming for residents with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia diagnoses. Sunrise takes great pride in providing high levels of personal care in a resident centered environment. On-site health care services include: diabetes care, psychiatry services, nutrition and weight management, pain management, physical therapy, skin and wound management, continence management, Hospice coordination and diagnostic services.

Memory Care is horrible. I removed my Mom in the summer of 2023 after I observed her hygiene being neglected, caregivers manhandling her in her bedroom (I placed cameras in her room), her privacy rights violated, and many more horrible things, never being checked on overnight, etc. If your loved one is unable to defend themselves and/or communicate exactly what's happening, INSIST on cameras inside their bedroom.

I didn't see anybody there at Sunrise of Franklin Lakes. It is fairly new. It only opened recently. I just met the one employee, and she was very nice. I didn't really see much there. The room was a larger type of a room. It was larger than most of the rooms. It was set up very nicely, but I didn't see any residents or any other staff. The dining area looked beautiful, but I didn't see any menus. They have different seating areas where you can sit and talk, and they offered like a cafe for the residents where they can go and get something to eat at any time of the day. It's a brand-new place. It's beautiful and decorated gorgeously.
