I live down south and don’t get to go visit as often as I would like but whenever I do go, I am never disappointed. My mom is always clean and dressed nicely, the room is orderly and the staff are pleasant. The staff never know when I’m coming so it’s nice to know the quality of care is there at all times. It’s comforting to know that my mom is being treated well and is so cared for. She is happy, and I am happy too. I highly recommend Brookdale Wayne to anyone looking for a place with a heart!

I love Brookdale Wayne! This has been the single best decision my family has made in a long time. Brookdale has given me my mother back. She is well cared for, and the staff truly care. If there’s ever something we need or need to address the management responds promptly! Overall the past year has given me my life and my mother back. Couldn’t be happier with our decision. Thank you

I went to Brookdale Wayne. What I like the most about it is the way it's structured, it's set up. I saw the room for my friend, who will eventually move in. I saw the studio. I was pleased with the studio. The person who gave me the tour was very informative about everything. She let me know about their daily routine and how things would be. She showed me everywhere as far as what they'd be doing during the day where they would be eating. We spoke mostly about getting all the paperwork. We reviewed all of that first and then she told me exactly what I would need to do to get him in. And that was very informative and helpful. And then the tour was also the same way. She showed me where everything was and that was the extent of it.

I went to Brookdale Wayne. There were two main things. One was the proximity to my home. That was the big one. And the other one was it was a little more money. But it did seem to be a bigger facility. And I did like the outside area. It had a much nicer patio and outside area for people to sit. The staff was excellent. I even called her when we picked the other facility and told her what a great job I thought she did. They have activities outside like bingo, community lunches and meals, and medical staff. It was the money and the fact that it was much farther from my house than the other facility.

Brookdale Wayne was great. We liked it. It felt more like a comfortable, sort of a homey place, and the people were great. They were very good with information and in helping facilitate what we needed to get done to get my sister-in-law up here. When my other sister-in-law was there, she ran into one of the staff members getting their lunch at the facility, and she commented that it smelled so good and that the staff eats there as much as possible because the food is so great. They have a chef there so that was another plus in their favor.

My dad stayed at Brookdale Wayne. The communication was not great. My dad was blind, so he couldn't use his phone to call us or answer the phone. The communication was frustrating between how he was, what was going on, and all that. But I liked their physical therapy. The physical therapy team was really good. It was a nice facility. It was very cozy. They had a movie room. It seemed like they had a lot of activities that they offered. I would see people come out with party gear on and laughing, which was cute. My dad said the food was good. Their medical price was capped at a certain value, so it never exceeded the full value that they charged, and I did appreciate that. It's very expensive no matter where you go, but it seemed to be the most fair price out of all of them that we saw.

Brookdale Wayne was very nice, but the apartments were very small. The only downside to it is that the facility didn't have independent living, which is what we were looking for. The staff was very nice. I met them there, they took me around and showed me the units and showed me the facility. All the meals were cooked for you. They did have studios and then they had one-bedroom apartments. The rooms were nice, but the cabinets were kind of old and needed to be updated a little bit.

I've chosen Brookdale Wayne for my mother. The tour was very good. I felt a sense of community there, and the pricing was a little better than a few of the other communities I went to. The room was nice. I liked the rooms there better than the other facilities I looked at. It was a one-bedroom. I remember there being sufficient common areas for activities and a nice dining hall.

I went to look at Brookdale Wayne. The staff was very friendly, outgoing, and informative. The place is very big. It's right next to Hamburg Turnpike, so it's a busy road. The facility is immaculate. There were flowers inside and outside, which is very nice. It is near restaurants and hospitals. It's very close to everything.

Preliminarily, I chose Brookdale Wayne for my wife. The grounds were clean and pleasant. The room was good. The person who helped me did a very good job. The dining area just seemed as we expected; it was good. We didn't go into activities, but they are an upscale facility, and they have everything we would need.

I went to Brookdale Wayne. They have very small rooms and you cannot order a meal in your room, which I find unusual for a place like that. I didn't get a chance to interact with the people there. They were doing physical therapy in one corner. Their library could use improvement; there's nothing there. They have little cubbyholes instead of one big living room. I don't know if it's good or bad, but it had like five different sitting rooms and none of them were very big. The woman who gave us the tour was very nice. Everybody who passed us smiled, but I don't know about personal service or whatever. She was in a hurry because she had another tour after us. The facility wasn't bad, but it could be cleaner. I only saw one housekeeping girl maybe for the whole floor.

My husband and I went and toured Brookdale Wayne. Before we arrived, I had told the lady that I wasn't able to go on a weekday, so a weekend would be better. But she was kind of insisting I'd go on a weekday because she wanted to be there, which I get. Then I told her I had to work and it was close to the time, so would she be able to wait for us? Meanwhile, there's traffic when you're traveling, so when we arrived at the facility, she was kind of like a little on edge because we were not there on time, so to speak. But I had explained to her that I'm going to try to get there at 7, but I get off at 6, so we're working with not even an hour because I have to get home and then I and my husband were going to go. When we arrived, she had called to see if we were still coming and I said, 'Yep, we just pulled up in the driveway.' So she said, 'Come on over here to the desk and we'll talk and everything.' So we talked and I kind of felt it was a little rushed a little bit. She mentioned the place and she gave us a folder and we looked through it with her. She mentioned pricing, but then she did not say, 'Do you have any questions for me?' After she went over her part with the booklet that she had given to us, she said, 'It's getting late, so I'm going to take you over to the memory centers.' But I said I had quite a few questions, so I asked all the questions, and she answered them, so then that was okay. We went over to the memory center, which was not too far from where we were meeting. The place was just so small. For the price of money that you would have to put out for this place, I thought, it would be like a recreational center. I thought it would be like a lot of space for my mom and others to just be in their own space. But it was sort of like someone's big living room. I didn't feel like the space was good enough for the price that they wanted. I'm looking at it, and I'm like, 'I wouldn't even want to be in here myself because, like where would I sit?' The pricing was sky-high. It was private pay. It was very unaffordable for us, for sure. I also felt uncomfortable around the staff. I felt rushed because I had explained my situation, and I would think if it were me, I would not have brought up the fact that we were late. I would have just been considerate and kept that under my thumb. Also, we only went from the representative table where you sit and meet and talk, and then we went into that one room where the memory care facility is located, and that was it. We went to the little lounge that they had and that was it.

We went to Brookdale Wayne. The tour guide was extremely caring, supportive, very kind, and patient. I saw the whole facility. The facility was very nice and very clean. It was not as updated as the other place, but I felt very comfortable there. I looked at a studio, and it was very nice. It was a little bit bigger and seemed to have a better layout. I think the time I went was kind of a transition time, so it was a little bit quieter. They had a nice list of activities throughout the day that I was able to see. The residents I saw appeared happy and engaged. They have a beauty salon, rec room, puzzle room, book room, places to watch movies, places to sit with family, and private dining rooms. They provide three meals a day.

Brookdale Wayne was a very nice facility with lots of amenities and a caring staff. They have lots of activities planned out throughout the month, they have a calendar of activities. The apartments that we saw were very nicely laid out with little kitchenettes and were easily accessible into the main areas where the activities are. For memory care, the staff seemed very patient and helpful to the clients. There was a library, a gym for physical therapy, a hair salon, there was a TV area, an activity area, and a large dining room area where they go to eat.

Quite honestly, I didn't like the location of Brookdale Wayne. I thought it was a little dirty, and it could have been cleaner, it looked a little worn. But on the other hand, the people there seemed happy and the staff appeared to be very attentive. But it seemed a little dated. The person who gave us the tour talked a whole lot. Their facilities are pretty much all the same, they offer the same things that other places offer. They had physical therapy, a salon, a room for families to visit in and have a meal, and they have a nice dining room.

We just moved my father into Brookdale and it has been wonderful! The staff is attentive and cheerful. We needed extra help on move in day and nurses and various staff members showed up pronto to help us with everything. He has been seated at every meal with a new person to get to know so he has many friends already. I know he is in good hands and his once solitary life has become filled with activity and community. Very grateful for Brookdale!

We were looking for a place for my 93 yr old Mother, who is still very with it, but needs assistance. Some places were nice, but something was always a little off. When we met with Ashley and Chris, toured the facility, met with the staff, and after several long conversations getting to know each other, we knew it was the place!. My mother has been welcomed with open arms, with every staff member treating her like family! My mother had been in places prior, and it never felt like a family atmosphere, this place does. She is cared for, treated with respect, and we feel so good knowing she is there. Its a very difficult process from every level, but the Brookdale really made it easy..They are very accommodating, and always there for questions, and guidance. My mother, who is really fussy, is enjoying everything, and commenting on how nice all the staff and residents are. We are super pleased all the way around, and look forward to mom living many more happy and productive years in a great place, while getting the care she needs..

We visited Brookdale Wayne. If we were choosing long-term care, there isn't very much I would not like about it. And we are looking at the various options that we might have for care if we go for an assisted living place. I would think that Brookdale would be a fine option. I was more impressed with this place and another one than the place we saw yesterday. We saw everything in assisted living and they also have memory care. We did not see memory care because the people in memory care are locked away, which is a bit distressing, but maybe that's necessary. It's an attractive place, rather impressive. And even if we go that way, that sort of place we would like to live in. They provide full service from what I could understand, from perfect health to needing hospitalization. The young woman who took us around was professional, pleasant, friendly, and dedicated. She did a great job. What we saw there was very thorough and they have all sorts of excellent stuff going on. They have a very, very full program of activities too, which is impressive.

My mother moved into Brookdale Wayne, and so far, it's been really good. We're there quite a bit, and they've been very caring. When I go there I don't find it depressing, and I interact more with the residents than my mother. Everybody greets me when I come in. The food is institutional, but it looks good to me, I found it OK; there are a lot of choices. They have tai-chi, they have a TV room with a very large TV, they have bingo, and I've seen them playing some games. There's a salon, a beautiful library with a gigantic TV, and comfortable couches.

When my mother first arrived at Brookedale the staff was amazing. About a year in and the entire staff turned over and it has never been the same. Quality of care or lack of, food has gone downhill and the activites are barely there. We used to have paint and sips or other activities that family members and residents could enjoy. Prices keep going up and quality keeps going down.

The rooms were small, but clean. The administrator and her staff were pleasant and engaging. However, after assuring us they could care for our mother - that was not the case. Mentally she was 100%, but physically she was very weak. She needed help with getting to/from the bathroom, dressing, showering, movement from one area to another and that is where this place fell apart. The weekend and night staff were horrible - slow to respond and when they did, had a terrible attitude. I got to the point where our mother feared calling them. Additionally, they were very slow to react to and address any medical issues. For the monthly fee charged we expected (and should have gotten) much, much more - as you do pay incrementally for every element of care in addition to the room fee. I know the administrator diligently tried to address/fix issues, but they remained. Perhaps this facility is great if you can do most everything for yourself - but not so if you actually do need assistance.

Brookdale Wayne was very nice, and the people were very impressive. The manager was a very nice person. The ambiance was pretty nice, but not quite as warm in appearance as where my father is staying. The rooms were pretty standard and small, motel-room size, with a bathroom with a seat so they can sit while taking a shower and lots of handrails everywhere. There's also a window to the outside so the rooms seemed pretty nice. Some of the rooms had their own little kitchenette with a microwave oven and a little refrigerator.

I really like Brookdale Wayne. My parents are adjusting well. We haven't had any problems so far. They go out monthly to a local restaurant and they also have Bingo and cooking classes. The residents cannot participate in cooking, and I was hoping they'd have an interactive activity, but instead they just watch the person cook. They serve three meals a day, but the food could be improved. They also do their laundry for them. I have no problems with the staff at all and we've had good communication. Everybody's pleasant.

I love Brookdale. They're very good, very professional, very caring, and love their jobs. The food is very good. It's 20 minutes away, and the price is comparable to others. My husband has been there for a month, and I'm very happy. I would recommend the place.

Brookdale Wayne is wonderful for assisted living but the people with dementia are kind of put in a more restricted space than where my husband is now. The rooms were very nice; you couldn’t ask for nicer, like a very nice hotel. The people were also very nice.

I visited Brookdale Wayne. The place was very dark. I was taken around by one woman, and she was quite good. The main floor was very dark where the dining room and lounge were. It was hard to tell about the rooms because the place was being renovated. There were some activities going on.

I visited my mom and always find her smiling she is always telling me she loves it here and how it's changed her life knowing at home she would have nobody to take care of her hands on needy problems other than me. She is always telling me about her favorite worker Mina or mini was the name and how she runs to help and put a smile on everyone's face and visits often on her free time this just comes to show that this place is an environmentally happy place where workers enjoy to be at. Who would come to work on their day off and hug and visit residents?? The food and everything is great! I am happy knowing my mom is in a safe happy place.

This facility recently became Brookdale (from Emeritus). Since that time the food service has declined dramatically and the cable tv has been limited to what must be basic service (previously hallmark, food ,hgtv were available). Some of the staff are excellent and caring. Unfortunately, that can not be said for all.

It is very nice. There are a lot of things for them to do, and they get three meals a day. They give them a little activity calendar, so she is very happy there. But I think they need to improve a little bit like the entrance way should be kept a little better and more updated. They should put an overhang outside so when you are putting back and its pouring rain, there’s a way to get that person with a walker to the car without trying to be under an umbrella. Some places I originally looked up long ago had something like that. I have never eaten there, but she is always happy with the food; she says it’s good, and sometimes she complains but we are happy with it.

Mom is in here and we get Medicaid. If you’re there for two years, you then get priority to those beds and the distance from my husband was something important. I wanted the minority of the beds to be Medicaid beds. It was pretty much what I pictured. My mom is Jewish, and they had a Rabbi coming in once a week, so that told us there was enough to use there. I like best is the people that I met: the executive director, director, customer relations, and Wendy the nurse. The room and dining room is really nice, and it is well-designed. Mom is engaged with their activities, and they have bingo every day. They’re focusing on having fun while they do their jobs because if they have fun, they set the tone. The atmosphere is warm. It was friendly; they give head ups of what my mother’s character is like, and they knew exactly how to respond to her and make a big deal whether she came in. Other’s just didn’t do that. My mom couldn’t have been happier. The room was fine, extremely clean, extremely fine quality. and no smells or anything like that.

It was nice. It was very much like all the other ones, but what impressed me was that my mother wanted a large room, and they had a 600-square-foot room suite for her, so that's what I took for her. The staff seemed very nice. Also, I like this one because it is 5 minutes from my house. The place was spacious. The outside ground was not big, but my mother is 90 and she is not going outside too much. Security was fine. They had someone at the desk there all the time.

The rooms are very nice. They had different setup where each section had some sort of theme to it, like farm setting or something distinctive. The staff all seemed to be very competent.

It was fantastic. It was a very friendly environment. The staff was very nice and helpful. They were also informative. The room and apartment were very nice, as well as the dining facility. They had a lot of activities. They had exercise class and social programs.

My dad is in here. It is a very nice and up-beat community. The environment is nice, and there is nice feel to the place. Everybody in the front door office, the staff, and the people in the wellness center are very helpful and caring. The residents there seem happy. The rooms all look good. There are a nice size, clean, and bright. My dad has a studio, and it is a a decent size for him. I had lunch there, and the food is good. They have activities like movies, crafts, and different things that they do. On the second floor, they do cooking and exercising. I think they need probably more transportation over the week for the residents.
