"My brother in law is doing very well in Spring Oak. The place is very good and he likes it. He has got a couple of friends and he is getting acclimated. He's been there since June. "

"I visited Juniper Village at Washington Square and toured their assisted living. It was lovely, but the rooms were on the second and third floors and my brother did not like that. He wanted to be on the ground floor. The place was beautiful, though. The food was wonderful and everybody was very pleasant. All the rooms we saw were very nice, too. The staff who assisted us was pleasant. They have a lot of activities. They take groups out to places, there's a place to play cards, and there's a little coffee kitchen with different kinds of coffee. It's lovely. They served me a meal, which was wonderful. It was like going to a restaurant."

"Greenfield Senior Living at Cross Keys was one of my favorite places because the staff was very caring. The director was excellent; she was very knowledgeable and friendly. You could see that she was very caring and it wasn't a put-on. "

"Cardinal Village was very nice and very clean. The people who showed us around were very nice and very accommodating. They took a lot of time with us to explain. I'm very happy with the tour and with the place. They contact us every once in awhile and send information in the mail, but they don't overdo it. "

"I toured New Standard Senior Living at Egg Harbor Township. The facilities were brand new. Everything's clean and organized. The staff was very knowledgeable and ready to work hard to take care of your family member. They had workout facilities for anybody that needs rehab or anything like that. They had a pool table. They had one of those arcade basketball games to play with family members, which was cool. They had a cafeteria. The menu looked really good and very nutritional."

"My dad and his wife used to stay at the Seashore Gardens. It was big and beautiful. However, they just let them stay in their wheelchair and were not able to do more. They should be allowed to walk around. The staff was good and friendly. The rooms that I saw were more like hospital rooms. The food was strictly kosher because it was run by Jewish. They had lots of activities. They had an area which was like a boardwalk. They had parties and entertainment. I would recommend it to others. "

"Our mother has been at Brandall Estates for almost 2 1/2 years. She feels safe and secure there and is busy from morning to night--just what she wanted. We can not say enough good things about the staff-- the nurses, aides, dinning room personnel, front desk, and the administrators., Everyone is truly concerned about the residents. The facility is beautiful and families are always included in wonderful events--Mother's Day Tea, brunches, barbecues. We would recommend this facility without any hesitation. "

"My mom is in Villa Raffaella. We choose it because it is administered by the Catholic Order of Nun, and that is the key term. It has been great. She is comfortable. The room is fine. It is large enough and it has a little kitchen area. The staff is very friendly. She loves it there, and she is happy in all aspects. She has the opportunity to go to Church and she goes to prayer service every day and that is important to my mom. Then they have more activities as well. Our main goal for us as a family for my mom is for her to be in a Roman Catholic administered assisted living, and we are able to accomplish that. "

"We loved everything about United Methodist Communities at The Shores. It is very modern and the level of care that they give all of the residents there seems to be exceptional. They have a secured memory wing as well. You know, it's just really put together well. It is very well staffed, and the staff is very courteous and knowledgeable. We toured the assisted living, but we did walk past the memory care unit. They have a sliding scale for their memory patients. Some of them don't need memory care services. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and could really answer the questions before we even have a chance to ask. They explained everything easily to understand. I do know residents there, and the food is good. I know several of the church members that live there, and they are very, very satisfied. They offer a variety of food. It's a sit-down restaurant style, so you go in there and order off menu. They always have special events, like special music (especially around the holidays). Our church as a whole would go in with the choir and do Christmas presentations. They have special music from all different faiths, not just Methodist. They live like kings. I work full time, and I don't make as much as it costs to live there. It's within 15 minutes of where I live. It's quick and accessible for mom. They have a lot of nice things that they plan. They do day trips, and they'll take the residents over to the Boardwalk or other local things. It's a nice place to retire, and the view is great."

"New Standard Senior Living at Millville was new, so everything was in good shape. The facility was clean. The residents seemed well cared for. It wasn't as homey, so it was kind of sterile-looking, like there was very little artwork on the walls. It's just pretty basic. It was light and bright. I saw the staff member interacting with the residents. When we walked into the room, a lot of the residents waved. The staff waved back at them, like the residents obviously recognized her and saw her as a friend. They had an activities director, and they seemed to have a full calendar. They had three or four activities a day on their calendar. They had a gym and a hair salon. There weren't TVs in the common areas where they could watch TV together."

"J C Plaza seemed really nice. The staff during my visit were nice. They were quick to answer. It was convenient, as it was right down the road from us. "

"The rehab I did at Millville Center wasn't much. They were supposed to rehab me for my right leg, but it was nothing more than getting your blood circulating. It wasn't helping me at all. They had a nurse practitioner there and she didn't respond well to my needs. Some of the staff also didn't respond to my needs, so I wouldn't recommend that place. My accommodation wasn't bad in that respect but I ended up being on long-term, and I had a roommate, and I didn't like that guy. They have an activity room where they had some guest musicians and arts and crafts activities."
