John Knox At Arrowhead

My sister-in-law's mother was at John Knox at Arrowhead. They had their own doctor and staff. It's small, so you get a lot of attention. It was about the same as most of them, but it was very clean. She had probably one of the nicer rooms. It was a big room. The residents were very well taken care of. They were able to get out and get around. They all visited with each other. It was very nice and very well kept up. The staff I met was very nice, too. The dining area was very well lit and very quaint. They had three meals, and they had snacks in the middle of the day, too. My sister-in-law said they had all kinds of activities for them to do. The value for money would be a five because it would be twice as much trying to keep her at home.

John Knox At Arrowhead is a very small community. Mom is there and our experience has just been outstanding. Their rooms are adequate, especially for a person who does not need a lot of space. They have very good food. The common areas are clean as a pin and very attractively decorated. The staff is just absolutely outstanding. They are very friendly, warm, and inviting.

The person that was in charge of showing me around John Knox at Arrowhead was extremely knowledgeable, extremely kind, and extremely helpful. I feel like the actual facility was just a little shabby. Not that it wasn't clean, but it was rundown. I don't know if I would really want to stay there. The staff was nice. The room was a fair size, but it shared a bathroom with the room next door, and that didn't thrill me. I didn't like the building that much. It just wasn't quite right. The staff told me that they only had two caregivers at a time. They never let anybody take a bath alone, which is fine. They always have two caregivers in for a bath and that leaves everybody else in the building with nothing. That didn't sound like a really good idea to me. If you had a person that was not able to do much for themselves physically and they were OK with limited activities, it would probably be a good place. I didn't see anybody except the man showing me around. He was very nice, very knowledgeable, and very well informed.

John Knox At Arrowhead is a small community. The facility is very nice and well taken care of. The staff were very friendly. The rooms seemed very nice and clean.
