I am a current client of this provider

If I didn't have them, I couldn't work. They are a necessity. The caregiver I have has a very natural smile, and my mother responds to someone being pleasant and smiling. If she are people that aren't smiling, my mother will be upset. My caregiver is always giggling and interacting with my mom. I like the fact that they are not going to sit and be on their phones all day. Their phones are used to sign in and sign out. They have high expectations of their help, and they check on them personally to make sure the expectations are being fulfilled.

If it wasn't for the services, I probably wouldn't have made it this far. My family has passed away and if it weren't for my caregiver helping me, I wouldn't have made it. The Caregiver I have is excellent. I don't have to tell her what to do.

They have helped me become more independent. They have cleaned up things I have been meaning to do. They do light housekeeping, they run errands, and they check the mail. I can't even find a word to describe how much I love the company. I like their friendliness, the way they feel for people, and that they have compassion. They share a lot of information to help comfort people and give people a better way of living.

I think they could be more dedicated. Sometimes I think they're not as dedicated as they should be. They could stay off their cells phones and be more attentive to the patient. When we have no nurse, it gets left up to me to take care of him. They called me yesterday, and nobody was available to come in, so no one showed up.

My quality of life has improved. I need assistance in getting dressed and they do things that I am unable to complete. The workers are serious and they review with me what they were given to do and how they can help me. They ask me what I would like them to do first. They each come in and assist me.

It's wonderful. I'm handicapped myself, so I have to use a walker and he's in a wheelchair. We have to have someone here to take care of him, so it's very necessary. They are very prompt and are usually here every time we need them.

They take care of my husband the way they should, without me having to ask. It makes things easier for me to get things done. Sometimes there's too many changes with the caregivers, which causes confusion. We had two caregivers who were excellent and more experienced. Younger caregivers wait to be asked before they help.

It would have been nice to have someone to vacuum if my cleaning person couldn't come. I didn't use them that often, but it was good because they were kind to me. Everyone was very kind. They could have done a few more things considering the fact that they were costly. I wanted to go out in the car every once in a while.

It put me in a difficult spot when we found out that they couldn't provide the services. Care Advantage needs to make sure that they can provide the services before they select the client. They need a better screening process.

The caregiver just feeds me. I am very thankful that these services are available to me. I have had my nurse for so long, she is the only person that I know from the agency. I just know the agency's name, I am just there for the nurse that I have.

My shoulders and my knees are shot. They hurt when I clean the house. I can barely bath and do the basics. I can take care of personal things. A lot of this has been companionship. I have someone to talk to. They are helpful, friendly, and nice.

I have to come over and do the things that they should be doing. They do not have a positive impact on my life. I have had a negative experience with them from the start. They need to get the girls to come out here and stop saying that they don't have anybody when they are supposed to have 150 employees.

She sat in my living room and ate her food. I had to tell her that my living room is not for her to be sitting and eating. She left her container with a drink in it sitting on the floor. I don't know why she did that. She thakes what older people say personally. My mom has dementia so she says stuff that is not quite right. Somebody who is in this business should know better than that. My mom is not receiving any care right now, but the quality of care my mom had was not good. I already called in. I asked for a different caregiver, but in the meantime my mom went into the hospital. She should be out of the hospital today, and they are supposed to be looking for somebody different to start on Monday. They were not happy when I reported the caregiver. I was told that sometimes it takes a while to get the right fit. I was hoping the first lady would be fine, but I understood that I might need to call back and get a better fit.

It took me a while to get the service approved and started, and there was a lapse after three services. I found the scheduler to be hard to deal with, and they were unable to provide a qualified caregiver.

It really has improved my life. She is good. Her help with getting me back and forth between the bathroom and cleaning the house, helped me the most. I would recommend them to others. My caregiver is outstanding. My caregiver was on time, nice, and courteous.

It has a major impact because I still work full time and my mother has Alzheimer's. She likes consistency and to know that the same people are coming. I've had some major issues, and some of it isn't their fault with people not showing up. I don't know if the scheduler is overloaded, but we've had some scheduling issues. Things are better now that I have two permanent caregivers.

When she came, my blood pressure shot to the ceiling. I was so angry at her lack of work. I would like their people to know they should be conscientious about their work. I didn't want just people coming off the street looking for a job.

I thought that they were taking fair care of him, but he thought that he was being neglected. His biggest complaint was that they would just be on their phones. They were very conscientious and they were receptive to his needs. If he said he wanted something to eat, they would cook for him. It was always when he asked, never just on their own.

They did a lot of things for me that I can't do like vacuuming and scrubbing. The caregiver was a big help, she knew exactly what to do for me after her first shift. I have had four different caregivers in my house and I don't want to have so many different caregivers coming. There was a caregiver that I liked, but she got assigned to someone else.

They have been there when I have needed them and they have done what they need to do. The person that signed me up said that they had a perfect match, but the caregiver could hardly get up my stairs. The client can hardly walk on their own, so that seemed dangerous. The last caregiver that I used was awesome.

Some days my caregivers go over and beyond and some days they do nothing. I would like the caregivers to leave their cell phones and help me with housework.

When they cannot fulfill the order, they need to staff my mother wit someone and they have not been able to do that. It causes me to lose money and miss appointments that are important to my life. They need to have better staff and more supervision of their people. They need to have more skilled and trained caregivers they need to be able to fulfill the demand that they have created.

The only reason that I use Care Advantage now is because of one of the caregivers that they send. They are inexperienced. The people in the past never showed up and things like that. It has been difficult because of circumstances. I do not like the rate that they want to propose. I cannot give the extra money that they are proposing.

They do their job and they are kind. I know that I have a really good person. The way it is now is much better than it was because my caregiver has plenty of responsibilities of her own, and they include taking care of me since I can't walk.

I was told that they can get caregivers here on a varied schedule, but now it's not as they said. We don't have consistent caregivers. I would like them to line up somebody to come for Tuesdays and Thursday mornings, but they couldn't find anyone for these days.

There have been some absolutely wonderful caregivers both times that I have used the service, but there have also been some very poor caregivers. It has been extremely varied. The best part of what they provide is companionship, but they also keep us alerted to any medical concerns.

The Chesapeake nurse supervisor didn't show up, didn't call to let me know that she wasn't showing up, didn't answer my call when I phoned her an hour after she was supposed to be here, and I still haven't heard from her. Office scheduler frequently does not tell client when aide will be late or not coming. Notice needs to be at least a day in advance to plan for other appointments, order for rx pick up, and grocery pick up. Not able to take a nap when expecting aide, but I couldn't do so because I've been expecting visits from Care Advantage all afternoon. Instead of preventing stress and making life easier, it is disruptive, especially for people with disabilities and in pain. How difficult is it to assign someone the responsibility to plan arrivals in advance?

We've been with Care Advantage for a couple years, and the care has been spotty. Usually we have trouble on the weekends with getting staffing. A lot of times they'll say they have a caregiver that is scheduled, and they usually don't show up. For the last five weekends, no one has showed up. If the caregivers don't show up, it's very impactful. I can't plan anything. There were times that my daughter would have an event and we would buy tickets, and we couldn't do it. The fact that they're not reliable is impactful. As far as an impact on Robert, having an aide is very positive.

I would probably refer Care Advantage to others. However, my biggest issues are with caregivers that regularly don't show up for scheduled appointments, and the office staff is also difficult to communicate with over the weekends. The services with Care Advantage could improve by letting me know whether the caregiver is arriving this weekend. Additionally, calls to the local office result in a list of names of people without any indication of their department. I've requested that this be fixed, but no work has been done on this regard.
