The caregivers that came were able to do my laundry for me. I had to have BrightStar for things medical related. The caregiver was proficient, and she came at the times she said she would come. We used my bedroom as my clean-up, and she brought in some things of her own if we weren't able to get a hold of something quickly.

We're currently using BrightStar Care Springfield/Bloomington for my mother. They help her get going in the morning, assist with feeding, they get her cleaned up, and they provide companionship. They're here every day, 18 hours a day. Some caregivers are very good, and some are very poor. You need to do a lot of interviewing to make sure you get a caregiver that's the right fit for you.

I like they had both home care and nursing care because we utilized both of them and going through just one company made that much easier. They made a big difference for my mom. They were very easy to work with. The office was great. There was one caregiver that ended up being the primary caregiver. It took a while to get the right fit.

I had trouble having a caregiver one night, and they said they would see that it didn't happen again. Also, they could lower the price because their prices are kind of high.

I used to have home care from BrightStar Care Springfield Decatur. I like this agency, they're well managed, and they take good care of me. They have good care overall and they helped me with bathing, dressing, and helped me walk around and helped get me in and out of bed. They have some good people, the nurses kept the meds straight, and they count them every day.
