Nothing stood out in a negative way. They were pretty attentive as a group of people. Our caregiver was sick and she wasn't as active as she wanted to with my particular case. I don't see any glaring problems. They are very timely as far as people showing up. I wouldn't hesitate to use Home Care again. In that sense, they did a good job in a limited time.

I was in the hospital so much in January and February. A caregiver has come in and helped me get things back together and organized. I feel like I'm caught up now. They are very dependable. They send very good people. If I have an emergency, the manger will step in and help me. It's the best home care company I've been with.

They had flexibility in timing and schedules because I didn't know when I was going to get out of the hospital. They are very professional, friendly, adjustable, and if there are things that need to be done they do it. I loved the services from them.

They should make sure they give me a caregiver who drives and someone who doesn't have a thick accent that I can't understand well. On occasion, not always, they send a caregiver who does not drive, but that is important to have because I cannot drive.

It has been a huge impact on my life. I was taking care of her 24/7, and in her mental state, she doesn't sleep much at night. I was suffering badly, but with night care, I am able to sleep at night. It has been great. Once we get to know the caregiver better, I can see what they can do to help us more. My problem is that we started out with one caregiver and then they left the agency, They had someone else for a day and they never got back, which left us with no one to help for a few days.

If someone is going to be late, I'd like them to find a replacement before calling me. I don't want it to be my problem. If it's one of their employees, I'd have hoped they were already looking for someone else. This past week, I got notified at the last minute that someone couldn't be there without the agency looking for a backup.

They have a system that's pretty good for having substitute caregivers if the regular caregiver has difficulty making it. I would tell a friend that it's a good program because it's large enough that if somebody can't come, they can try to fill in with somebody else.

About Home Care Assistance I would say that you have to be ready to be confined to the home and some people don't take that very easily. I used to go out walking on my own and all that and now I have to rely on other people to take me out. Home Care Assistance has helped get me back and forth where I need to go, even to doctor's appointments. Otherwise I would have no way of getting out. So I appreciate that.

I would say that Home Care Assistance is nice, the administrators are great, and some of the workers are really good, but some are not so good at all. It kind of depends on the caregiver. Some are very very nice, sweet, helpful, and some are not nice at all.

The care was invaluable, but they would not let my mother stay with the care unless she had 24 hour care. Home Care Assistance was in-house at the assisted living facility, and it was very handy and easy to work with because we did not have to take her home to care for her.

I have had to replace several different caregivers because they weren't taking proper care of my loved one. They caregivers weren't attentive to the client's health condition, so I had to take my loved one to get medical help. I had to actually train some of my loved one's caregivers because they didn't know how to turn on lights when they had to walk into the bathroom. One time, my loved one was sick, and so I asked the caregivers to do a couple of tasks to help them, and they waited several hours before they actually did them.
