"I used TheKey - Napa for my wife. They were very good, but they weren't consistent with their staff because people would come and go and I wasn't real happy with having strangers always in my house. The latter part of their service, the girl that I ended up with was awesome. She was an excellent lady, but I only used them four days a week, four hours a day. The lady that was taking care of my wife was the one that told me I should get her in a care home. She was still using their service up until August of last year, and I used it for about a year and a half before that. They helped me clean the house. They cooked meals for my wife. The latter part, they did help me with mopping and running the sweeper in the house. They did mainly light things. The problem with them was the staff was never the same at the beginning. I'd get somebody one week and another week, somebody else would show up and they'd be there a couple of weeks. It wasn't consistent and I didn't like all that activity in and out of my house."

"I hired Comforcare Senior Services. They had a very harsh management team and they had problems staffing occasionally. I had care for my father eight to ten hours a day and Mom was at home on hospice. I called the agency and talked to the manager and they said they can't do that because they had to do an assessment on Mom and get the paperwork in place first. In some places, if you hire them for less than 30 hours or something like that, the rate is much, much higher. When you're first starting to use somebody, you don't want to hire them at 30 or 40 hours because you don't even know them. You would like to start smaller and then add hours as you get more comfortable with them and this agency is very good that way."
