The services were not helpful today because there are things that have to be done here that I cannot do. On Mondays, I have the care provider pick up the food from Meals on Wheels and put it in the refrigerator. I cannot reach it, so I need the hot meals on one stack and the cold meals on the other, and both need to be on the top shelf. I have told her for the past three weeks, and it hasn't happened. I would recommend HomeLife Senior Care because I don't know if the company supervises their people.

Any time the caretaker needs a sub, I feel like like my mom says no and then I have to come over. Also, when it's a work day, I won't be able to make it. When my mom has her caretaker, she does her job and does all the chores and the cooking and cleaning. She does it really well and is fast and very caring. She doesn't say anything personally and does not make it known to my mom. She takes good care of my brother too when he needs cleaning up. Some of the caretakers have downright scared my mom. The subject of politics or religion comes up, and I have heard some heated discussions. Caretakers don't need to show disappointment or disapproval of someone saying that to my mom. It's scary that a caretaker comes in here and does that. I would like the agency to improve some of the substitutes. The caretaker that is here now is doing an outstanding job, but when she can't make it and my mom needs a sub for the day, some of them hardly do a thing.
