I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My grandmother is at LindenGrove Communities in Waukesha for rehab. She's got a nice room. It's small but she's got her own bathroom. It's all wheelchair-accessible, which is wonderful. The staff that I've met have all been very friendly and very kind. The facility is clean. Her bed hadn't been made, but it looked like the bathroom had been cleaned at least and then the trash had been taken out. It seems pretty nice.

How sad to know a friend lives here, Is this what you call living? I am sad every time I visit. This place is filthy, the rooms are dirty. Yet, the staff keep their stuff in other rooms and hide! (Food, use the furniture, water bottles, etc.) go look! Saw it, witnessed it first hand! They gather to take breaks! On a weekend visit/ the breakfast dishes were still all over the tables, at lunch! The one “nurse” was more interested in what the chef made for “her” lunch first before residents. They were to eat at 1145, it was now 1:15! Friend stated she didn’t get pills on time- nurse told her she got them. I asked for documentation that she did, she said she “doesn’t always do it right away” I said you have no documentation? WOW! Please do not put your loved ones here. It’s really sad and a lonely place with very uncaring workers. Is there no supervision or check ins by a higher up at anytime? These are human beings - take care of your elders and show some respect. There should be training classes ongoing, rooms should be cleaned INCLUDING vacuuming!

I just moved my mom out of this facility. We started there 3 years ago, and the care has just declined so severely.....My mom received 2 showers in 6 weeks. The original staff is completely gone....and some of them were there for 20 years. The place has been bought and sold I twice, I believe. The food is horrifying. My mom once received a burned grilled cheese for dinner and the staff was belligerent to her, she was crying. I would not send my worse enemy to this facility. I have been a Registered Nurse in the Waukesha community for 37 years.

This facility should be the last place you or your loved one should be subject to their care. The care is subpar and the staff is rude. We are not sure how they are still open for business.

Please don't bring your loved one here. The facility itself is ok. The associated costs are way to high for the care given. They have 1 nurse for a crapload of people. They make residents sit in the dining hall for an hour before food arrives. Some of the CNA's are extremely rude. No one deserves to be treated that way. (Probably because they are not paid well) The Lodges doesn't want to pay for quality people so the residents suffer. Keep looking for a better place!!

The facility itself is very nice. Bright and pretty clean. No gross smells or anything. The care however, is another story. Linden Grove wants 1 nurse to cover too much territory. They can't seem to keep any nurses there. All of the employees are CNA's. Some of them are down right mean and ornery. If you have your loved one stay here keep an eye on things to make sure they are being properly cared for,

All around bad place, nite staff sleeps and don't answer call buttons cleaning is only surface, no nursing staff,or physical therapy you have to get outside people. Food is terrible, no special diets and servers are mean. If resident is ill and can't make it to dining room they charge to have meal brought to you. Barely any activities. Snow doesn't even get plowed in morning. They only want money they do not care about patients. Not the place you want your loved ones.

They are extremely short staffed and most of the aids don't seem to care about their patients. My mother is here for rehab after a hip replacement and I am very disturbed about how the staff work. She is very immobile yet her call button is on the other side of the bed where there is no way she can reach it half the time when I come into visit. On most occasions she waits anywhere from 20 min to an hour for someone to answer her call light and some of the food they serve is inedible and cold. I wish there were somewhere better to have her do her rehab but unfortunately they say this is one of the better places. I shudder to think of what these other places must be like. Hopefully she will never have to return here

My stepfather went to Linden Grove in Waukesha for rehab. Before he was there, he was a very independent person, meaning he was driving, walking and caring for himself. They wouldn't allow him to get assistance from staff to walk and would only allow physical therapy to walk him. So, if he asked staff to help him move, they told him "No". I thought the purpose of rehab was to get people up and moving after surgery (hip surgery), not just sitting around. Then after about a week he became very disoriented, and the staff had no answer for, but his disorientation then got better. Wondering if they gave him the wrong medications or something because nobody had any answers. Then he had to self-pay, once he was self-pay, they stopped paying any attention to him. Only went and got him for meals and walked behind him to assist him to get to the dining room. At this point he is able to walk very well with his walker. They told him he could only get help from staff. Well, the staff never came to answer his call light even from the beginning. They say they have adequate staffing but when the elderly has to go to the bathroom, and nobody comes for 10-15 minutes that is a long time when someone is just sitting there. The resident's room are very dark and small, nothing to up lift the mood so to say. Staff is very unprofessional. Nursing staff continues to do work while family is talking to them, and the administrator was telling my stepfather that his home had nowhere for him to go. She didn't even have the information to be saying that to him. They allow him to just sit and won't even take him out in the halls to walk. I would never put my family in this facility.

I visited this facility

The facilities at LindenGrove Communities in Waukesha were just average. The buildings were nice, but nothing was exceptional. The rooms were kind of dark. Tracy was the one who toured us. She couldn't answer all of our questions though, because she didn't deal with some of them, but she was nice. We were actually all ready to send my mom there, but the director (Missy) misled us and wasted our time. She led us to believe that they had skilled nursing at their facility, but they didn't have it. It was the other location. So, we felt like we wasted a whole week of our time when we could have been focused elsewhere and talking to other facilities.

LindenGove Communities in Waukesha had all the amenities that my parents would need. The staff is good with communication. Their rooms were good sized for all their furniture, but the care for Medicaid was the biggest part. They also have one staff person that takes care of all the games and any activities that they do. They don't serve food inside the bedrooms, everybody has to go out to the community area for food. So, they get the people out of their rooms. They accept pets. So, they have a fenced-in area for that also.

I don't have a lot to say about Linden Grove because we're not allowed inside, but my parents were very happy when we saw them today. My dad rated Linden Grove as excellent. They're very happy, and he's not easy to please. My dad said the food is fantastic. The staff has been very easy to work with. They're in a garden studio right now. They did not have a 1-bedroom open. We had to provide the TV, the phone, and the furniture. It's just a bare room, and then you had to provide all the furniture. We checked around and there were more expensive places. The value for the money is really, really good. It's a good price for what they have. Everything is done really nice. It's decorated really nice. It's just perfect for them, and they're comfortable.

My mother was a resident of Lindengrove Waukesha, but I wasn't really happy with the place. It was a new venture for them and my mom was one of the first patients they had. I gave them a lot of leeways because of growing pains, but it never ended, it was just problem after problem. She was in this place for many years, which I was OK with. She was in an apartment by herself and she basically ate her meals there. That was fine but then her health deteriorated and she needed more help. The location is actually a wing of a rehabilitation hospital, and they opened up an assisted living section. The meals were included and it was more costly there. There were activities she could do although she wasn't really doing any of it. All her needs were taken care of. The nice thing there is that they had a system where they bring in an optician, a dentist, a podiatrist, and a doctor. So she doesn't have to go anywhere, and I appreciated that. I never tried their food, but I saw plenty of what she ate. They had to grind her food for her because her dentures didn't fit anymore. It all looked very presentable and she liked it. The staff depended on the person; they had some bad ones over there.

I am a friend or relative of resident

Recently had a loved one stay post hospitalization at Linden Grove in Waukesha. . To say that we are disappointed with her care is an understatement. I felt many of the staff were unfriendly and seemed to be put out if we asked questions or asked for assistance. The care we received was poor and many of the staff seemed uninterested and unwelcoming. k. We felt they didn't listen to our concerns or take into account our family memembers cognitive ability. I don't think I would ever place another family member into this facility unless there were no other options available. From the charge nurse on down we felt we have recieved poor care and service. Will be posting our dissatisfaction on social media and review sites.

My father has been at Linden Heights for four months now, and he is happy. The place is very clean. He has a large room with a bathroom and a shower in it. The people are really friendly, and the staff is really good. They give him his medication every morning the way he is supposed to get it. They clean his apartment and do his laundry. Everybody seems to enjoy the food. They got bingo, music, and outings, but he doesn't really participate too much, and they had a nice Christmas party.

Very disappointed, in the long term care. My father was in Linden Grove Waukesha. His condition went down hill in the time he was a resident. I was going to move him to an assisted living facility. Once the other facility inquired about my dad and wanted to do an eval, LG produced 19 orders to address my Dad's conditions. The next day I got a call asking me if I wanted him to go to Hospice or the hospital, because he was in such bad shape. We opted for Waukesha Memorial, he is better. On e additional comment, the smell of urine was very noticeable on the second floor. I can not recommend the facility for long term care.

My mother is currently in Lindengrove Health Care Center. It has been very good. For the most part, the staff is pretty good. I think they are short-staffed. They need more people, and they know that. They do have activities.

In general, I'm very impressed with the Lindengrove Health Care Center. My Grandmother is very happy to live there, and is much better off than when she was living in a senior apartment. Her health and cognitive ability have increased because she is receiving nutritious meals on a regular basis. When living by herself, this was not the case. Also, when she has fallen, she has received care immediately, unlike when on her own. She has some good friends in the facility, and her social life is healthy again. The workers have treated her very well, and I've always been pleased with the cleanliness of the facility and quality of the food and programs. The only negative I can think of comes under the heading of billing and finances. My mother manages my grandmothers finances for her, and she's had a few instances where Lindengrove has incorrectly billed my grandmother for medications or care. These incorrect billings would have cost here thousands of dollars if my mother had not caught them.

I felt that the elderly were being treated very well. I know this because one of the residents there that I talked to had great things to say about the place. All that matters is that the residents feel like they are at home and that's exactly what was happening there.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My grandpa recently became a resident of Linden Grove Assisted Living. Upon his arrival he was greeted by their friendly staff and was escorted to his new home. The head nurse was extremely friendly and allowed my grandpa to set up his room and hang up some pictures to make the room feel more comfortable. The staff introduced themselves and sat down with our family to get to know our grandpa a little more. The facility was very clean and provided a comfortable living space for my grandpa. There was a common room where residents could mingle and play games. This really assisted my grandpa into feeling at home and welcome. All in all, Linden Grove is an exceptional assisted living facility. The facility was clean and well taken care of. Also, my grandpa felt comfortable and enjoyed his time living there. I would recommend this assisted living facility to anyone in need.

I visited this facility

My grandma was living here for 3 years up until 2 months ago when she passed away. I would visit her every month or so and she seemed really happy with the services Linden Grove provided. First of all, the facility is located in a quite suburb near Waukesha North High School, the parking lot and the outside of the building was always kept tidy. When you walk in, you are greeted right away by staff members who always seemed to have a smile on their face (also the place smelt really nice, kind of like a lavender smell) Anyways, even though the staff seemed friendly, to us, we would always ask my grandmother if she truly liked it there and she would say "This is the best place I have lived in a while." Her food was always ready and hot and the nurses were always quick to service her. The ONLY reason I gave this a 4 star instead of a 5 star is because the building layout is confusing. We always would get lost, I could only imagine how it would be for someone who has alzheimer's. Oh, and also, it is located within 3 miles of Waukesha Memorial Hospital which is always a HUGE upside.
