My mother had been at Brookdale for several months when COVID hit the U.S. The way this facility and its staff has reacted and continued to perform has been stellar. My brothers and I receive regular updates on her care, complete with photos, as well as information about how they are keeping her safe and happy in these difficult times. I couldn’t be happier with the care, the food, and the staff.

I was not pleased with Brookdale Brookfield. We didn't care for it. When we walked in, there was quite the smell, which permeated the entire place. Also we thought the cost was higher. We were not pleased with it at all. We wouldn't have been comfortable leaving our family there. We were able to check the rooms and we thought that the rooms were smaller and all of the furniture has to be provided. I wasn't pleased at all. I wouldn't recommend it just from touring.

Brookdale Brookfield was very nice and fairly new. It's not really big, but the rooms were nice, modern, and looked very good. They had 24-hour staff and nurse on the premises, and dining rooms and entertainment rooms. It was one of the nicer ones I've seen. They had outdoor facilities where you can sit around, a TV area, and a work area where you can work with tools.
