"I like Layton Terrace Senior Living. It's clean here. They're remodeling a lot of stuff and painting stuff now, but other than that, I've got a great view out the window. There's a whole big long piece of green grass, and then there's about five or six evergreen trees and other little trees. It's a great view. So far, the people I've talked to have been nice. They are great."

"I can’t say enough good things about Harbour Village! It was an excellent move for my 91 year old mom. She is well cared for and happy. The food is homemade daily and delicious with choices at every meal. The rooms are beautifully laid out to accommodate those in wheelchairs or walkers. Weekly housekeeping and CNA services to and from the dining room, or any of the daily activities that your loved one, would like to join in are very accommodating. A great selection of daily activities that your loved one can join in on. On site salon services are a bonus. The entire staff is very attentive, and should an issue arise, can be easily taken care of in a very short period of time. They truly do care about your loved one. The facility is beautiful inside and out. And the residents genuinely seem happy. I know my mom is and that’s very important to me! Tours are free, and any and all questions are answered. I highly recommend Harbour Village!"

"My mother-in-law is moving into Oak Park Place Oak Creek. The studio apartment was beautiful. I met a couple of the staff members, and they're incredibly nice. It's an 8:1 ratio for nurse and aide per patient. I didn't get a chance to completely tour the facility. I just toured the memory care part because that's where my mother-in-law will be going, but I would actually give them a 5-star. The staff was incredible, and the administration was phenomenal. I would recommend it to anybody. The gentleman that I've been working with has been phenomenal. The facility was very clean and very organized."

"We toured Discovery Commons Brookfield. I viewed a one-bedroom apartment. It was very nice. It's a beautiful facility. It's quite glamorous. It's larger. I thought it looked nice. They take care of their employees very well. I was told that they're really into making their employees happy, which will make the residents happy. They offer a lot of care for assisted living. My first impression is that the people aren't quite as sick as they are at the other facility. They rejected my aunt at the last minute. They did an assessment, which was rushed. Maybe they don't feel capable for people who need a lot of care and daily attention. My aunt is still somewhat bedbound. It hasn't been that long since she had her surgery. She needs a lot of physical therapy. She's 100 years old. You can't expect her to be in the condition of a 70-year-old, I guess, which is what I'm getting at. The staff that I met, the director and her assistant, were good. It's very clean and organized. They had a library. It's two-story, and the hallways are so long. I mean, I kept picturing my aunts navigating those halls."

"My dad is a resident of The Auberge at Brookfield. They are a very nice community, very clean, and nicely furnished. Everyone that you come in contact with is always accommodating and very friendly. He seems to be getting good care and good food. There's a chef on staff. They're also willing to accommodate you if you don't like what's on the menu for the day. They can take something else. It has been a positive experience. It's somewhat modern and it's roomy. He has a nice view of the courtyard. He hasn't really participated in a lot, but they do have a lot of things that they do with the residents. They do try to keep them socializing, but it depends on the individual. I have no regrets about putting them there, but that is very costly."

"Oak Park Place is a very nice place, but it's also the question of money. It's incredibly expensive. I know other people who have put some parents in there. Nice grounds. Everything is beautifully taken care of. I really didn't get to talk to the staff. That's a huge factor. You want to know the staff and who's taking care of your mom. "

"I am in Brookdale Place Brookfield. They have very nice people, but the staff is changing quickly. They are not paid enough. You will have care, but you have to know exactly what you want because they are in within a minute, and then they're gone and turn to someone else. They have a lot of people they have to care for. If you ask them to do something, they may or may not do it depending on the job, and if takes five minutes, you'll probably not have it. My room is a mess. It looks like a teenager lives there because it is very difficult for me to clean something up, especially when I have no place to put anything, so I ended up messing it up more than anything else. That's what I am looking at, more space and a one-on-one type. They have very good food. They have activities, but we don't go out more. However, they are very expensive. I am being charged $50,000 a year to live here, and I don't have an income like that because my income is only $43,000 a year. "

"My mom lived here for a year in the memory care unit. Her private room was perfect. She was treated with kindness and care. Could not say more about the staffs Communication skills and care of my mom and attention to her daily needs. She loved going to music, exercise classes and Sunday church services. Her favorite thing was watching the daycare kids through the windows! Loved this place!"

The facility is clean, reasonable, convenient geographically, and highly recommended by other people, which is why we chose it. It seemed like a nice community and was well-staffed. "I toured Oak Hill Terrace Senior Living. It was much larger than the other facility. There were more people around. They all seemed happy. The staff was very efficient. It was a larger place. So, the check-in and everything was very easy. I had the wrong time for my appointment, but Jen came out anyway, and we did the tour and everything. The dining area looked very nice. They had the tables with the plate settings and everything all set up and their menu looked excellent. They had a special chef just for the people. I would give them a five for helpfulness and knowledge, but it didn't have anything in a secure area for sitting outside. They were only sitting outside like in the front entrance area. So, there's nothing secure for anybody. It was just pretty open. It had 3 or 4 level floors, so you had to use an elevator. The upkeep and the buildings were fine."

"My mother moved here. It's awesome; they work hard to make it feel like a community. They assured me, and I was able to see happy residents. So I know that my mom is going to be cared for. There's so many amenities and those are wonderful as well. She can get her hair done, she can get a manicure and pedicure. My mom is a southern belle, so she likes to have those things available to her, and they have those there, including a hand massage and foot massage. We visited eight places, and this one was the best. I didn't get to sample their food, but the residents seem to brag about it. The facility is beautiful. They had a bird expert come in and talked to the residents about birds, and they have happy hour. They have a rosary group once a week and a prayer group, and that's important for my mom. There's a couple of people that play cards and poker, so they're going to do a poker group on Tuesdays."
