We visited Stafford Manor while in the area looking at facilities for our uncle. The outer exterior appeared very well maintained. We did not have an appointment, yet the staff was very accommodating and took us on a full tour. The grounds had beautiful tree-lined walkways and seating areas for the residents to enjoy. The communal rooms included a nice library, places to to play card games, participate in physical exercise, and stimulating activities like crafting and hosted events. The fitness center was impressive, with equipment and regular exercise classes for yoga and aerobics. There is instruction and assistance available any time it is needed to assure the safety of the residents. They are also encouraged to exercise daily in the facility or on the walkways outside. The private living spaces were nicely designed with a generous amount of space so that seniors could have their cherished belongings with them. They were all beautifully decorated with lots of fresh air and light. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space.Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The activities outside of the facility featured many interesting and stimulating cultural events in the area. They also had a large room for in-house gatherings and private parties. This facility can accommodate a variety of ambulation levels and as a resident's needs change, care can be shifted between assisted living, personal care, rehabilitation, nursing, Alzheimer's, memory, respite and hospice care. This is a very nice living environment for seniors that includes everything they need and desire. We were very impressed with how the staff interacted with the residents with kindness, caring and attentiveness.
