The Silvernail Senior Community Apartments

I was looking at a 2-bedroom and a 1-bedroom unit at The Silvernail Senior Apartments, and both of them are expensive. I just like the place a lot, and they have a lot going for it; however, I just couldn't afford the rent. The staff were very good. They were nice and cordial. The place looked really nice and was really well kept up. The rooms were large, and the 2-bedroom has a little more space than the 1-bedroom. There's a lot of places in the area. There is grocery shopping and different stores. The place is really good.

The apartments are very nice. The building is in excellent condition. There are a lot of activities for residents. The building is in a good location close to shopping and dining. The rent is very reasonable. However, the management is very mean to the residents. Management pesters residents about trivial matters. The management also incorrectly filled out my mother-in-law's homestead paper.

The Silvernail was very adequate in terms of meeting the needs of my great grandmother. She was in her late 80s and early 90s while a resident there, and although independent, required help from time to time due to her diminishing vision. The staff was very friendly, and very willing to help out my great grandmother whenever was necessary, requested, desired, or otherwise. The facility was a good size, not too big and not too small. The activities available for residents were also very appropriate, and allowed my great grandmother to experience life outside of an apartment with others of similar interest.Living quarters were not very large, but that is to be expected in an apartment type setting. My great grandmother's apartment was a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment, with a kitchen and a living space. The bedroom was adequately sized, as was the bathroom, but the kitchen could have been larger and taken up a bit more space that was otherwise occupied by the living space. There is a community meeting room with a kitchen on the main floor of the facility, so those tenants who chose to not cook for themselves did not need to leave the facility to find meals. The facility also had space for a visiting beautician, visiting physician, and other services that some tenants found nice to not have to leave the facility to experience.
