I liked the room size at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Greenfield. We looked at a suite, and it had a nice size living room and bedroom area. I liked the suite. It also appeared clean. The woman who gave the tour didn't give us a lot of information. She didn't have a brochure to give us or a card to give us. Even as far as pricing, she didn't have a lot of information. It could be that she's a person that usually doesn't give tours and she just gave it because she was there. I wasn't crazy about the location either. They had a salon and a nice dining area, although she said most people like to eat in their rooms, so I don't think there's a lot of social connection there. The layout seemed nice. They had studios in one area and then suites in another area. The hospital isn't too far away. There are a lot of things around there like restaurants and shopping.

The rooms on the rehab unit are new, modern and clean. The rooms have a mini fridge, microwave, are all private, and have a shower inside of the room. Staffing was short at times, but with covid happening I am seeing short staffing everywhere including non-healthcare facilities. Even though I had some major struggles with communication at times, staff did go out of their way to help my Mom and make her feel safe and comfortable. This facility has long term care, short term, respite, and assisted living. I did not see many activities for rehab residents, but did see residents in the long term area getting out and participating.

My sister-in-law is in Autumn Lake. It's OK, but we can't visit her right now because of COVID. She's been there since December. As far as I can tell, they have good activities for the residents. They also have enough help that they could give her more personal service. The staff were good; they helped us set up FaceTime visits with her. I have a lot of contact with the financial staff, as well as the psychiatric nurse practitioner. I like her; she helps in making sure my sister-in-law gets what she needs medication-wise and behavioral-wise. I'm happy so far. She used to be in a shared room, and now she's in a private room. It's winter, and it's been so cold, so we can only do FaceTime -- that's how we visit -- and we also talk to her on the phone. That's their rules right now. For activities, they have a music-appreciation or a sing-a-long thing and a couple more different things if the residents want to go. They encourage her to do them because she's hard to understand when she speaks -- that's her weakness -- and she also can't eat with the people there because she's NPO (nothing by mouth), so they're trying to get her involved with different gatherings. When they do the bigger events for everybody, they have the assisted living people and the nursing home people all together. She actually met somebody she knew during one of those, which was really nice. She also has PT and speech therapy, so she gets out of her room a lot.

Facility was very nice, clean and well-kept. the rooms are big and comfortable, with own bathroom and shower. the staff were friendly and caring and very warm. The activity staff are very energetic and entertaining for the the residents. The Greenfield community offers a continuum of care, such as short-term rehab, long-term care, and assisted living. Overall a wonderful place.

I did not care for Cameo Court. It was a hospital kind of atmosphere. It was not a place that my parents would want to live in. The charge was enormous. The living space didn't look like a living space to me at all. They did have lovely activities, but I was not impressed with the whole atmosphere of the place. The apartments were like hospital rooms. It was not appealing at all to be living there. The staff members were acceptable, but I was not terribly impressed with the place. Cameo Court seemed mediocre as far as what they showed me. From what I saw, they need to do a complete overhaul.

Cameo Court Assisted Living is a convenient place for us, but it didn't have what we were looking for -- a 2 bedroom apartment. The location was very good because there was a bus stop, restaurants, and stores.

Mother has been at Cameo Court for almost three years. It is a beautiful facility with lots of windows and lounge areas around an atrium which is always full of light. Spacious private rooms and the most caring, amazing staff who treat mother as though she were their own mother. an absolutely wonderful home for mother.
