Cambridge Senior Living - Hudson is a brand-new facility, and it's beautiful. It would be no doubt you'd want to go to this place, but it's like they're waiting for people to come in. I think they're just getting up and getting started. It'll probably be really good after it's been there, after they're a little more established, but it seems very isolated and cold. There was no music playing in the hall. They have a gift shop that was about the size of, probably six by eight, a tiny gift shop that they didn't have open. They had two separate dining rooms, so you didn't see everybody when you were eating. You went to one or the other that were on opposite sides of a very pretty sitting room, but if you went to one, then you didn't see other people. I just liked the idea of everybody in one room looking at all the people that are there, and there were not very many people there. They have immediate vacancies. I think they're just trying to get going.
They did not have skilled care. They advertise skilled care, but they're working toward it they said. We don't need someone that's working toward it, we need a skilled care place.
It was just limited interaction among residents. The staff was really good. The dining area was pretty, but it was divided. The rooms were beautiful. They had comforters and prints on the wall that matched. It was decorated absolutely beautifully. The facility was excellent. It was very clean, brand new, and very pretty.
They have a workout room, a wellness room, or a fitness room. They have a beauty salon. I did not see a therapy room, but I saw in the dining room. They said they had just finished a therapy session, and they held it in the dining room. So, the tables were pushed back, and there was a big bouncy ball or stuff like that. Those were in the dining room because that's where they held it. Maybe that was just for that day, but I didn't see a therapy room. I just saw therapy items in the dining room.
The girl that took us on a tour said that she's got her nursing degree, but she's the manager or the admissions director. She said they have a nurse that they can call 24 hours. So, we want skilled on site, and they don't have it, that's why I give it that rating.
Provider Response
Hello! We thank you for the kind words, Cambridge is VERY proud to be new in the Hudson area. Our importance in establishing during a Covid pandemic put items such as our gift shop in the lesser important stance, having time to talk with families and current residents on what they would like to see will give us a great experience in this fun area. Our apologies you were misinformed about our Skilled Services, we regularly have MD's round, RN's are currently onsite 1-3 days per week depending on needs. Social Service as well as integrated PT/OT is something we are always working with. With our building being new, we have taken admissions and referrals cautiously. Safety, care, and comfort, should be our best practices right now. We send love to all those who are working hard to keep loved ones safe right now. We are proud to be part of a wonderful community of care. We wish you the best!
