We're living in Affinity at Vancouver, which is an independent living. And for the most part, it's been really good. There's a certain amount of activities that are organized by the staff, and then there are a lot of resident-led activities. So people can find whatever they're interested in doing. There is a library, a movie theater, a heated saltwater pool, and they also have a pub, but they don't serve food there and it's just a place where people can socialize. Once a week, they have happy hour and you can go and socialize or you can do whatever you like on your own if you want to go down there. There's no alcohol except for during happy hour. They have a game room. They have a crafts room and a pool table.

Affinity at Vancouver offered a lot of activities, like game nights, crafts, reading rooms, and computer rooms. One thing I don't like is that there are a lot of things, for example, the crafts I'm not interested in, and they kind of include that in the fee. I don't need that, but they figure that into the price. It's kind of good and bad. It was nice that they had some activities. They had a game room and a movie room, which is fine, but they almost had too much to offer, which just jacked up the price. The rooms were small, but they were nice. The person I originally had a schedule with wasn't there, so somebody else had to pitch in. The staff was knowledgeable but wasn't able to show me a two-bedroom unit because there was none available. It was very clean. There weren't any marks on the walls.

Affinity at Vancouver was a beautiful facility. The only thing was that it doesn't have any vehicles or buses, so they don't do any trips or anything. You are strictly on your own. There are no eating facilities inside. They had a lot of amenities. They had a happy hour on Thursday. They had a little pub, dominos, sewing, knitting, crafty things, and a beautiful theater. They have card games, and they let the residents determine how much they want to do, which was nice. They also had a pool, water aerobics, and a woodworking area for the gentleman or even ladies if they wanted to do that stuff. They have a patio upstairs with tables and chairs. They had no openings, though. They took us to view one of the guest suites that you can have friends stay in if they come to visit from out of town, and that was nice. If I went somewhere and there was an Affinity located there, I could rent that room from them for a cheaper price.

I toured Affinity at Vancouver and I liked their building and the facility itself. They've got a lot to offer. They do gardening and they have a pool, which were very helpful things that I would like to do. The lady was very informative. There was a lot of information to take in all at once, but it was very helpful. They have a very small gym, too. The place is brand new, so it is spotless.

Affinity at Vancouver is a very nice place, very well kept, and maintained. The staff was more than friendly and able to answer questions. They have a lot of activities for people to do. They even have a work room, if you wanted to make some crafts. They have a jigsaw puzzle they're laying out, so there is a challenge from time to time. They also have little get togethers. There is a little area where tenants can gather and talk for just an informal get together in the afternoon. I was invited to attend one of those get-togethers, but it was just too hot outside. I could say that the place is very clean, and the activities just seem to be there no matter what you wanted to do (whether it was playing cards, pool, or having a rec room to work out in). I was very pleasantly surprised as to how many activities they have. I have no problems with it at all. I find it a nice, nice facility, good location, vry private, and secure. I think that I could live there very easily.

I moved into Affinity at Vancouver last month. It's great. The room is a large studio, it's great, just what I need, and the staff is all very kind, and they're very helpful too. They've got a theater, a card room, craft room, a pool, Jacuzzi, and woodworking room. We even have a pub. It's a new place and it's clean, and they take care of the place very well, and the people here are nice. We're just starting to do activities because of COVID.

I toured Affinity at Vancouver. I'd take it in a heartbeat, but there really wasn't a lot in the area that I was interested in. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They did everything; they even invited me to a tea. They don't have food per se. Because of COVID, they really can't do a lot. It's a brand-new place, so it's extremely clean. They have a swimming pool, some activities there, and a gym. I would take that facility, but I was hoping for more activities. It's next to a park, but it belongs to the city, of course. They have some garages and elevators. They have movie nights and get-togethers, and they say that they plan outings. Putting aside my need for activity, I would score it very high because I was very impressed with them. This is a sixty-two-plus place. It's like renting an apartment anywhere, except you have all those little extra things.
