Mom moved into Riverview Retirement Community. Her condo was already there, and a place opened, so it was an easy transition to move right across the street. It seems to be great; she's transitioned pretty well, but because of COVID, it hasn't been that wonderful for us. We have not been able to see her except behind glass. We have some communication problems right now with the staff getting back to us. The food is excellent, and her weight has stayed the same, she has not lost any weight. It is very expensive, though, one of the highest - it's almost $10,000 a month.

We placed my dad at the assisted living of Riverview, and our experience has been good so far. The majority of their staff so far has been extremely helpful. His apartment there is beautiful. They just remodeled it so it's like brand new. They provide amenities for the residents like meals, laundry and housekeeping, and the food is very good. I would rate their staff a four because we have run into nurses and things that were not the best, but you'd run into that anywhere. Their facilities are beautiful. So far, he has really enjoyed the activities, and he can do just about anything that he wants to. The price is a little bit too expensive. They do really well, but they get paid really well to do well.

I absolutely love Riverview Retirement Community. I like the energy and that the nursing staff is available 24 hours whether you're in assisted living or independent living. I had lunch there, and the food was wonderful. They have everything, including a pool and an indoor walking area. They also have the nursing care and rehab care. I am very impressed with the friendly staff who always have smiles on their faces. However, I didn't care for the rooms. They're like hospital rooms from the 1960s that seem very cold and clinical. Also, in the bathroom, you have a sink attached to the wall, a toilet, and a walk-in shower, but no cabinet or anything.

My grandma was staying at this facility. We were paying an extra $1,000 a month for her to be given medication to treat terminal dementia. After a family visit we noticed her memory had deteriorated significantly. After checking in with staff it was discovered she hadn't been receiving her critical medication for two months. Her health took a rapid decline and has since resulted in multiple trips to the ER. Riverview refused to take her back into the facility even with our family offering to pay for additional outside care. It was every doctors recommendation that she return to her home as its so important for dementia patients. to stay in a familiar environment. Yesterday we had to move my grandma to a new facility. She was in tears the entire day, confused and distraught as to why she couldn't go home to Riverview. I would caution anyone that has a loved one here to check up on their "care" regularly". The mismanagement from the new CEO has resulted in horrific health declines of my grandma.

We visited Riverview. It was a good place, but it was just expensive. The rooms and the dining area were fine. As far as their activities go, I do not know as I did not pay any attention to them.

Riverview was right near a river. It was gorgeous. It had assisted living, cottages, and a fantastic Olympic-sized swimming pool, plus you got you own washer and dryer. We went for dessert, and it was amazing. Everything was so nice with lots of happy people. There was transportation to take you to doctors' appointments. The staff was friendly and very informative. It was so clean, you could eat off the floor.

The employees are happy and very pleasant at Riverview. They're relaxed with one another. They have a lot of music programs, and music is important to me because I just enjoy being around music. There they have cottage homes on a campus, and there's a very nice sense of community. I’m a retired city planner, so that is very important to me as well. At these independent cottages you do your own cooking, your own meals. I have been there for meetings because I am also a Lutheran, so they have been wonderful meals, and the wait staff has always been really good. But it would not be of importance to me because I would be fixing my own meals in my cottage. At Riverview they have all the levels of care.

We visited Riverview and this place is more affordable than the other place that I've seen. You can have independent living up until you need fulltime care. The staff were very accommodating. The people that we talked to seemed very pleased with the facility.
