We put mom into an adult family home called New Day Senior Living and we're doing fine. We chose it because of the owner. She seems the most caring and the most compassionate of all the people we met. It's more than assisted living. They have three people on hospice right now. All the workers seem to genuinely care about the residents and they're so sweet. My mom had to stay in the ER and when she got back, one of the caregivers put her arm around her and told her they missed her. They're just so kind. It's very clean, everyone seems well cared for, and they're very attentive. It's 24/7 care and it's very pleasant. They have music people come in. I'm very impressed with the owner's organization of her paperwork and the medications. I wish the bedrooms were a little larger, but it's certainly adequate. It's very expensive, but it's equal when compared to other places. With how hands-on and caring they are, I would definitely recommend it.
