After researching several facilities, I chose Riverway for several reasons. The main reason, the staff. My father unfortunately only spent a month at Riverway, but in that time they treated my father like a king. I delt with the morning, evening and weekend staff, all were very nice and helpful. My mother is currently at Riverway and is thriving! The second reason I chose Riverway was the size of the facility. I visited a couple larger facilities and it seemed so hectic; staff was hard to find and so crowded. At Riverway you can always find someone close by to assit and it's quiet. Lastly, pricing. Riverway might not have granite countertops, covered parking or over the top outside seating area, but do you need that? They are competitively priced; the service is outstanding, and the staff is so good with the residents. I recommend at least a visit.

My mother moved into Riverway Assisted Living and Memory Care. I like the facility. I actually haven't eaten there yet. I'm going to be having lunch with my mom today. They have a courtyard for those in memory care. I like that it has a central area for their dining room that the rooms open into. It's easier for my mom to be social and not have to wander down the hall. I know they do activities, and they drive them around places. I felt like the staff was very responsive and welcomed my mom warmly. It's a little bit more expensive. The building is actually in pretty good shape. I've seen them singing, doing puzzles, and different things. One of the things that appealed to me about Riverway was the fact that they would allow my mom to bring her cat. When I was visiting yesterday, they had a group doing some coloring.

My mother is a resident and we have been impressed at the level of care and service we have seen from the employees and staff, namely Jenn, Jim, Mickey, and most recently Meg. The level of attention my mother receives is with complete devotion to her welfare and happiness; even more so now that she is on hospice. Our family has complete confidence that our mother will be as happy as circumstances allow. The staff works hard to make sure her wishes and needs are met. We are pleased with the center and what they do. We would recommend Riverway to anyone. It is clean, newer, and home like. There are always activities going on for those that can attend. When we have questions or concerns they are answered promptly and professionally. If there is ever a problem they solve it immediately. We like Riverway. C&F

There is only room for one wheelchair in the van that takes you to activities so you have to take turns with other residents when going places. The staff is ok but there is a high turnover and they are short staffed a lot. My Moms room seems to have full garbages and dirty dishes whenever I visit. She has complained to me about the food not being good and getting tiny portions. Also, they charge you $5 if you want them to bring a meal to your room. Parking lot is small and has a pathetic outside area for residents to sit at. I don't feel like her medical care has been good here. It seems like 1 doctor for the whole facility is not enough. It takes him at least a week to get back to her about her medications. It would probably be a good place for more independent people that don't need a walker or wheelchair, and don't have to rely on the Dr. & nurses. But if you need a little help, it's not a good place to live.

Riverway Assisted Living and Memory Care was our least favorite. It was older and it just didn't have a good feel to it like some of the others. We saw two rooms which were okay. The people were nice and the staff, a 19-year-old girl who works as a receptionist, gave us the tour and she was very sweet and as nice as she could be, but she didnt have the experience to do the work the sales person did.

We visited Riverway Assisted Living, but we werent impressed with it. When we walked into the dining area, they hadn't cleaned up for lunch yet, so it was kind of messy and disorganized. We had to wait a while to get anybody to talk to. The assistant director was the one who showed us around, and he was nice. The halls were like the halls of a hotel with rooms on the side. It didn't have any gardens nor places to walk around or garages. They had some bookcases where residents could borrow books. The community looked fairly new, so it's in good shape, but I didn't like the rooms.

I didn't like Riverway Assisted Living from the minute I walked in. I didn't like the building, and there were really no outside areas. It was very old. The staff was OK. The dining room was dreary and very small. It's a hotel I would never stay at. The rooms were very old. Obviously, it's been around for a while. The hallways were very long. At the time, my dad was using a walker, and they only had one elevator, so that would have been a huge thing for him to try and get around. The staff was nice. It wasn't dirty; it was just old. They weren't as outgoing. Not everybody was smiling or going out of their way to say hi or whatever.

Riverway Assisted Living and Memory Care was very clean. The people were very friendly. I don't have any issues with that. They load up the residents and take them to Wal-Mart, and they have activities like crafts and things. They keep them somewhat busy. The facility was very nice and it's pretty new. The staff was very friendly as well.

Terribly disorganized. Cannot get an itemized statement after giving our address several times. Lost all my mom’s paper work after hand delivered once and emailing twice. She has expressed quite a few times that staff would get mad if you ask for more food. I was surprised at how few residents they had but now understand why. We are looking for a new facility.

I was impressed with Riverway Asst Living. They were very helpful, friendly, and showed us different apartments. The people who lived there were just really nice and kept telling us how they loved the place. It looked to be very friendly and the staff is very attentive to all the people who lived there, so my impression of them is very good. We liked the place.

The room at Riverway was larger than any of the other ones I looked at. The price was average, and it was a brand-new facility. They had a shower inside the room, which a lot of them don’t have. If a lot of our family wanted to come over, there was plenty of room capable of holding us. My dad will have his own fridge and microwave in the room. The place and staff were really nice. They have been helping me to figure out some of the financing, so I have been really impressed with the staff. We haven’t been able to move him in yet because we are still waiting for the financing. I visited about four other communities and this was the one I liked the best.
