We chose The Lodge at Riverton for my parents. The staff was friendly when I went to visit, and all of the people in there looked comfortable. They looked like they had a lot of freedom in coming and going. The staff is great and they worked with us on the price. I haven't heard anything bad about the food. They have a whole activity board, they do painting, gardening, they have a library, and a movie room where they do movie nights. It's assisted living, but I consider it independent because they don't keep the residents locked in. They haven't complained about the food, and they complained about it when they were in their last community.

The Lodge at Riverton was not as big as the other place we saw so their rooms are a bit smaller, but everything is included in the price. They're an assisted living facility. Their food is pretty good but you didn't have much to choose from. We only met one person but they appeared to have enough staff to work with the people. The people that we asked how they like to place said that they do their work and that they were happy there. The rooms are adequate for most people, but I'm 6'4 and 300 pounds so I need a little bit of extra elbow room. I just thought they were kind of cramped. It appeared to be cleaned and maintained though.

Very helpful and courteous staff. They are under new management, and some new staff members. The facility is not a locked facility, but can be locked down and does require a key code to exit. They could use a an automatic handicapped door for those with walkers. A tour of the facility was thorough. There is a library, tv room, garden, ice cream bar, health office, salon, etc. A published schedule show multiple activities available daily. The food menu looks like it would be fun to eat there.

I came by the sign said "to protect our resident's doors are locked after 8 pm" There was a rock holding the first door open. I went in saw a lady with walker sitting on the couch. I walked all 4 halls looking for any worker, couldn't find anyone or hear anyone. I did see a purse on the nurse's cart so I knew somebody was there. Then I found out I couldn't get out cause the doors needed a code. Finally, I saw another lady walking by with a walker, I asked her where the workers were she said: "oh they are busy". Long story short she finally let me out!

My grandmother is staying at The Lodge at Riverton and it's a horrible place. There are only two or three CNAs there, and there's no management. They can't keep a hold of their staff because the staff keeps quitting, and they dont give Grandma showers for a long time. They don't help her. Like she presses the call button and it takes them forever, so she just tries to take herself to the bathroom. A couple days ago their cook quit so everybody went without breakfast that day. I would not recommend the place at all. They don't really have any activities beyond what the church provides. My grandma has a small 1-bedroom place.
