When we were told my mother needed to be in Memory Care we didn’t know where to start. We were referred to Living Springs Village and it was an answer to our prayers The management and the staff are awesome! We were always amazed at how they took such a personal interest and how caring they were to my mother and us. The room & bath have ample space. As long as she could she was able to enjoy all the activities & entertainment. We enjoyed going to visit her and felt she was very well cared for. Sandra Tindell

Our scenario for Mom to live at Living Springs Village was a little different, as post Covid19 left her Parkinson’s neurological/cognitive impaired. We are so thankful we found them! Living Springs has the BEST staff, all around; professional and caring, and mainly they are all just very “steady”. Transitioning with a parent that is having cognitive decline, regardless of the diagnosis, is such a huge change for a family. The Management makes sure they know your every concern and needs for your loved one, and they stay on top of all the medications, doctor reports, possible personality changes, and general well-being for your parent. And they are so, so, so, easy to work with. Because the home has only 16 rooms, it really is like “family” in every sense of the word. The real stars of Living Springs Village are the caretakers. Friendly and reliable, and if we need anything special, like some help with a knee brace, or maybe a diet change – it’s simply no-big-deal, which has been such a relief. Mom likes the way her in-room bathroom is easy to manage, and she can control the temperature of her room, which is a huge plus. Living Springs Village has been one of the best things about living in Waco for me and my mom!

After many years of caring for my elderly mother, it had become increasingly difficult with her health and mental capacity diminishing and both my husband and I working full time jobs. Our family physician recommended we consider a memory care facility. We hadn’t planned on having my mother live in an assisted living facility and this was not a decision we took lightly. We researched several facilities and Living Springs Village rose to the top, especially as we examined caregiver ratios to ensure that she received the attention she needs. Fast forward four months and we can honestly say that selecting Living Springs Village is one of the best decisions we have ever made. The entire team feels like an extended part of our family and is great about communicating with us regularly. It’s not uncommon to receive a text message from the staff with a picture of my mom having fun during an activity or just enjoying the outdoors on the beautiful patio/garden area. The facility is exceptionally clean, and my mom likes the meals and snacks, which is saying a lot as she’s a picky eater! We would recommend Livings Springs Village to anybody looking for a top-notch memory care facility for their loved ones.

Living Springs Village provides such a cozy family atmosphere for our mother as her Alzheimer's advances. She has made so many sweet friends. The ratio of caregivers to residents is designed so that each resident receives lots of personal attention. Every day has opportunities for various activities and and frequently there is musical entertainment. We have such confidence in the directors and how easily we can communicate with them. I no longer go to bed each night worried about my mother living alone. Now she is in the perfect place for her needs in this season of her life.

I love how the staff goes above and beyond for every resident. Definitely peace of mind knowing that my loved one is being taken care of. I am blessed to have found such a wonderful place.

We are so fortunate to have this top-notch facility in our community. It feels like you are walking into a warm, friendly home when you enter. My mom especially enjoys the big outdoor courtyard area and Butterfly garden. Living Springs offers such a wide variety of activities for residents, great meals, safe and clean environment, friendly and experienced caregivers, as well as excellent medical supervision. The management also does a great job communicating and keeping us informed of all aspects that involve my mom‘s care. It is a blessing to know that my mom is in such good hands and is having all of her needs met and then some.

The decision to move our mom to an MCF took a long time. It was painful and hard. No one wanted that choice, but it became inevitable. After extensive review and many prayers, we chose Living Springs Village (LSV). Our mom has been there six months, and we cannot say enough good things. Like others, we had the non-negotiables of our mom being safe, fed and clean, and LSV made those things happen immediately. Given our struggles in these areas while she was still at home, this was no small feat. Of equal importance to us was our mom be treated with genuine kindness, patience and respect. We also wanted open, on-going communication and an atmosphere where we, as her family, always felt welcome. We have not had to address a single issue with Living Springs! We have appreciated their communication (formal - newsletters and event calendars, but mostly the informal texts and pictures which we love). We have always felt welcome, and LSV feels like a second family for all of us.

Since moving our mom to Living Springs there has been a remarkable improvement in her awareness and cognitive skills. As a family we attribute it to the attention, involvement and interaction with the staff and the many different activities that Living Springs provides as well as the cheerful surroundings. The rooms are bright and clean and have plenty of room to add personal touches. There are daily activities designed to get the residents involved and stimulated. The staff participates with the residents in group situations as well as one on one interaction always offering encouraging words.

I've already chosen Living Springs Village for my mom, and it's excellent. The staff are excellent, they have done a good job of calling or texting if there is anything that we need to know. I don't think we can say anything about the food, because she is in their memory care facility, but she has no complaints. Her room is clean, and she's comfortable, so there are no issues. One of the things they like to do is play dominoes, but I don't know if they really remember how to play them. They certainly have daily activities where they are trying to get them to interact with one another and do something outside or just sit there. The staff knows my mother, they know me, they know my dad, and my wife, any of us that come in. They are very accommodating, and at this point I'm not seeing a lot of turnover, it's the same staff members, and that's really a positive in my mind. The director there, her name is Martina, she does a really good job of not just caring for the residents, but for the staff as well. She understands the stresses that they are dealing with for those in the memory care, so everything is good there. Everything is clean and safe. I haven't eaten there but my mother has been eating well.
