We went to TIRR Memorial Hermann, and that was a wonderful place; however, Gala was not ready for that level of therapy at the time in her journey with her strokes. It’s a very wonderful place; they are the best of the best and had excellent customer service. The food and the staff were good. They did a lot for Gala. They have total body recovery, cooking, OT, PT, speech, swimming pools, and aquatics therapy. Gabrielle Giffords -- the congresswoman that was shot -- recovered there. It was homey, and there were a lot of testimonials on the wall from people that had recovered there. They were so impressed. They actually have a doctor that worked there, and they have a lot of people that come back as volunteers.

The physical therapists are very caring and very good to work with at TIRR Memorial Hermann. One of the things I like about them is they sit down with me periodically and let me know how my husband is doing. I think we are getting excellent care from this facility. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others.
