Five Points Nursing and Rehabilitation of DeSoto

My mother moved to Five Points Nursing and Rehabilitation of DeSoto for long-term skilled nursing care. We chose it for her because it's close to home. I would say the facility is beautiful, but it offers poor care. They have a frequent turnover of administrators. Since we've been there, there have been two administrators and frequent high turnover of direct care staff. My mom developed a bedsore while under their care, which she never had. We're trying to move her again, and looking to try a place that is closer to my house so I can keep a closer eye on her. Five Points is definitely not a very safe environment. Her room is beautiful, although it's small. The food is good, and the dining area is nice. They don't have very many activities though. They've been told that they need to stop recruiting clients until they get a good full-time staff, because they're heavily recruiting.
