My friend moved into The Meadows. This is the only facility that can take care of her long-term medical needs. It is a very nice place. They have a gorgeous view out a sun room of the hills out there. The staff is all very polite. I met a couple of the residents and they are very satisfied with this place. You walk in there and you feel like you're at home. Everything smells wonderful and clean.

I'm the daughter of a resident at The Meadows and don't like giving bad reviews but this is important. Although this facility is attractive it lacks many important features. First, there is NO emergency plan of action in place. This center knew all week bad weather was coming as it's been blasted all over the news. My elderly parents have been without power or phones for over 19 hours now and counting and it's 8 degrees . This is unacceptable. No one was working when it should have been all hands on deck. I called the SNF and they had a generator but no one else does. They said they didn't have the man power to check on residents. The director is out of town this week and no one is in charge, so I'm told. 2nd, at some point elderly shouldn't be driving. Why isn't there a Dr on site and transportation to Publix for groceries? Most all senior living communities offer this, but they do NOT. They do have social events but health and safety should take priority. 3rdly, horrible investment. Seniors don't own the property and get very little back when they exit. In fact, prepare to pay residential plus commercial taxes if you move here. I'm hours away from my parents and very unhappy with their lack of care during this weather emergency. Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone on a weekend or in an emergency. They will leave your family members to fend for themselves. I called the police, held 45 minutes and had to request a welfare check. 4th issue, skilled care- living here doe not give you immediate access but moves your name up a list. I requested dad go here after a surgery and the care was sub par. He called several times for a nurse, never came. Soiled himself, never changed. They wanted to keep him longer, I signed him out. He was ready and unhappy with the care. So, do your homework before you sign and get involved if you are a child looking for a place for your elderly parents.

The Meadows was nice, clean, and bright. I met one lady who gave me the tour, who was accommodating and nice. The residents seemed fine. The rooms seemed adequate.

I thought The Meadows was very nicely done -- excellent staff -- and it is just more of a nursing home where you need more of a medical attention. I thought that it was a nice place also, but it just wasn't going to fit our needs. I looked into their cafeteria and everything, and it looked like that they were very well done and taken care of.

We got a place for my relative to stay. Right now he's in The Meadows. We like the people and the facilities there. The food is very good. The staff seems to be adequate. We just like this better and prefer this one over the other facility we visited.

Could not have had a better experience for my father's passing. Staff worked well with Alive Hospice and made him and my mother very comfortable hours before taking his last breath. Communication seems wonderful for them from administration, dietary to nursing staff. They have a fine place to care for loved ones.

I had a terrible experience here, and granted it all boiled down to one nurse who had a bad attitude, but it goes to show you that one bad apple can ruin a bunch. The nurse assigned to my family member for a week on day shift had apparently not taken the time to notice that there was a serious problelm with the catheter. To make a long story short, a serious infection occured that should have never happened at all. I hope that things like this never happen to anyone else, but just so you know: take the time to check your loved ones whilethey are patients in this facility.
