"I toured Ridge Manor Rossville. It looked very nice. They had done a lot of updating and remodeling, and the inside looked nice, too. The neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired, but the entrance itself looked fine. It's just that somewhere in the neighborhood, there's a trailer park next door that's a little bit rundown. The facility looked fine, very clean, and updated. The staff was very nice. I met with a young man and a lady there, too. They showed us some rooms and they talked about different options. They gave us different financial options."

"I like Garden Plaza At Cleveland. The only thing I don't like about is the balcony's railing that is too high. They need to knock that railing down about one-half of what it is and then put an iron railing up there, so people can see out. Other than that, it's a nice place. They have a TV and Wi-Fi. They have heating and air conditioning in your room. They have garbage pick-up at your door. You can come and go as you please. You can make friends there and you can sit on the balcony or the porch. They have an outdoor where you can walk your dogs out back, but that's about it. They have separate housing if you want it, but it costs a lot more. They have a pool but it's a small pool. It's big enough for two or three people. The staff who took me around was friendly and professional. She is an elderly lady, and she knew her business. It was very nice there. They had a nice lounge area and a place where you can read books. It looked nice in there. It had a dark earth texture and stuff in there. It suited me fine. It's right next door to an assisted living place."

"We visited Legacy Village of Cleveland, which was a very premier facility. We wanted it, but it was out of our budget. I liked the architecture, the layout of the rooms, and the food. The food was excellent. We ate lunch there. The food was very pleasing to the eye and looked like a good variety. The facility was spacious. It is near restaurants, near the interstate, easy to get to, and it is near my home."

"We have chosen Avail Senior Living for my mother-in-law. Their studio room is very spacious, and they provide a small refrigerator and a microwave. It is a newer facility, it's just a year old. It is very bright and airy, and there's a lot of sunlight coming through. They have sunrooms with skylights. They have a nice little courtyard and screened porches. The dining room was nice and spacious. Carrie was the one who gave us a tour of the place. She was great and we even talked to the owner, and they were both accommodating."

"The Bridge at Ooltewah seemed to be a very friendly community. The rooms were a good size. My mother-in-law will stay in a one-bedroom and everything seems to be very neat and clean. It has a kitchen area with a freezer top, a microwave, and a sink. They don't allow you to cook there, but you still have a kitchen where you can take care of a few things or take food back. It's all tiled floors and there's a window where you can look out into a courtyard. It's a good size. It was Kristen that gave us the tour and she did a great job showing us several different types of rooms, and the cafeteria, took us around, and introduced us to people. They gave us a list of what they had them laying out for everybody. They are going to have a shirt day and a silly hat day coming up in September as well as trips. Then they gave my mother-in-law choices and asked her what she likes to do."

"This place is very quiet. It has a deck and many sitting areas for the residents. Another reason why we chose this place for my mother in law is that it's out in the country. She's used to this lifestyle. Her room is bigger compared to the one she has at home. She has a small table beside her bed, two chairs (one is a rocking chair), her own bathroom, and a nice, small walk in closet. The staff is really nice to her. She actually thinks they are her family. They pay attention to her needs. Since she's diabetic, they make sure her meals are always on time. They give her a small snack whenever she feels weak, they help her prepare for church and get her hair done. They've been great; they keep in touch with us if there are problems. Some activities present in this place are having the residents' nails done, planting flowers and watching TV together. However, it's better if residents have their own TV in their rooms. My mom became healthier after weeks when we brought her to this place. They are really taking good care of her. "

"I liked Life Care Center. They had a very good and responsible staff and had everything necessary for senior citizens to adapt to a life away from home. They had an ice cream shop, barber shop, and all sorts of facilities for physical therapy and doctors. It’s not too big or too small and is a very well-organized system for move her up in. The environment is very calm and most of all, the physical therapist was very good with the patients. "

"The staff was extremely personable and helpful in assisting my great aunt after she had a stroke. She had to be bathed, fed, and dressed every day. The meals that were served to her were above average in my opinion. The facility was well maintained and the linens were clean. The grounds were kept in a highly maintained way. It was much more inviting than some of the assisted living facilities I have encountered when visiting my elderly family members. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs assistance in caring for their family members who can no longer take care of themselves. "

"If you are looking for a nursing facility that you can depend on, and know that your love oned will be looked after, and cared for in a professional manner, we recommend Standifer Place. We have both our sister, and brother-in-law, who is also deaf, together in the same room, in which we requested, and they complied with our wishes. The entire staff in every area have been kind, caring, and loving towards our love ones. and giving them excellent care. During this covid-19 they have kept us informed, and met our every concern. During the covid-19 breakout, they truly have been our heros. also let me add they have o covid-19 cases. Thank you so much for all the staff at Standifer Place. Allan & Deloris Russell"

"Since Morning Pointe of East Hamilton was new, everything was clean and fixed up very nicely. The rooms have a kitchen, a sitting area, a bedroom, and a bathroom, but they're just a lot smaller. They have a dining hall right up in the front and an activities room that we walked by."

"I am the daughter of a resident of Martin Boyd Christian Home. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and caregivers. My mother is very happy here and thoroughly enjoys the activities and food. When the time came a year ago that she could no longer live alone, Martin Boyd was where she wanted to live! "

"I thought Hickory Valley Retirement was a real nice place. The only reason that I wasn’t that interested in it at the time was that they only provided one meal with the rent, and I was looking for some place with 3 meals rather than just one. I thought the rooms were nice. They take trips to different places; they go out to maybe lunch once a month or so, and there are activities in the buildings themselves. "

"As a rehab patient, I was truly impressed with the facility from simple but important things like the doors closing easily from a wheelchair to single rooms. Most of all the rehab, especially the director and my Occupational therapist, were far superior to other facilities. Caring staff members cared for me daily. The Activities program encouraged interaction with others and offered many fun activities. I made so many friends on staff & patients that have continued after my stay! They diminished the pain and stress of my injury. I recommend it as a superior facility."

"My parents moved to Rockbridge Oaks. They serve a certain menu every day, but if you don't like it, you can choose from other things, and everything I've tasted there has been excellent. The rooms are nice. They were freshly painted and have a nice kitchenette area with a medium-sized refrigerator. The air conditioning units are high, like above the windows, so they're not blocking the walls. It's got a nice big bathroom with a shower. Everything is nice about the room. The staff had been great. Everyone's been very pleasant. They have in-house activities like bingo, trivia, name that song, art things, and trips to a restaurant, a grocery store, or different places. My parents have not participated in any of that yet because they are just getting adjusted. The value for the money is pretty average from the various facilities I visited. It's maybe a little cheaper than some."
