My brother-in-law stayed in Yorkview Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was not happy there. We were not happy with the care. What I observed is that the place is not clean. It's very run-down. The Venetian blinds were broken up and torn in the one room where he was when he was upstairs for skilled nursing. After somebody came in, they finally replaced it because I think they were told they had to. When he was downstairs in the first room, the CNAs would come and turn his light off and not say, May I help you? Now this gentleman has aneurysms that could blow. They would turn it off and say someone would be in and never come back, and I witnessed that. I asked for an air mattress when he first admitted because their mattress is so thin and uncomfortable. They explained that when he gets red and starts to break down, they'll get him an air mattress. When he was admitted to the hospital, he had bed sores. They did get him an air mattress after he broke down and had bedsores. I was not happy about that. One breakfast, he never got his breakfast until I finally had to call a supervisor, and he even got his breakfast at like quarter of eleven, and by 11:30, his lunch came. He says the food was not that good and that it was cold. The care there is not good. His roommate went home, and I finally had to call and complain because three days later, that side of the room was not cleaned, and there were two dirty urinals over there. And that to me is uncalled for. That room should have been cleaned the day the guy left.
