After visiting various assisted living facilities we eventually decided on this one as our long term care facility for my grandfather. I was personally impressed with the staff who were very caring and compassionate. They helped in any way possible and went out of the way to answer questions and give a lovely tour of the place. The rooms weren't anything spectacular but it had all the basics that could be needed. However I feel that they could have been made a bit more accessible as parts were quite a tight fit.As for the amenities in the facility... well this was quite possibly a selling point. On site the Schuylkill Centers had a barber shop, a religious service center, a lounge and activity room, a lovely cafeteria plus a small shop for the patients to use. It was very welcoming not only to those that stay there and also for the family. In addition to the beautiful inside, the outside landscape was very inviting with flowers, trees and a nice park area if the people just need to get a breath a fresh air.Overall I was very impressed with this assisted living facility and ultimately for the above reasons is why we choose this as the care facility for our grandfather.
