"My mother is in Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for rehab. The staff is okay. We brought lotion for her feet and we didn't write on the bottle it was for her feet, so they were putting it all over her body and used it up double time. So, this time I bought two and when I gave it to her, I wrote on it "for feet only" a couple of times, so it won't be overlooked. I haven't seen her room, but from the outside it's very well kept. It's a building with a nice entry. There's a side entry where I hand them the stuff for my mother, and it's not for actual people to go in, it's just for workers to go in, and they have a doorbell. I believe she's getting well cared for, and she has a nurse that pays attention to her."

"My Dad moved into Shenandoah Senior Living last year. Nursing staff is kind and caring and always available. Rooms are large and clean. Facility is Clean and modern. All staff I have met are friendly and helpful. Therapy room is well equipped. Food menu could be better, but meals are timely and staff always assist in prepping food as my Dad needs help. Activities include multiple bingo and game sessions a week, various visits musical guests (including a poka band). A craft room is also available. Each room has a seperate HVAC split unit for custom temperature control if warmer or cooler temperature is desired from general facility."

It’s clean, it's on one floor, and they have lots of activities -- at least a once a month church service. It’s got good reports, and the rooms that I have seen were clean. "

"My husband is in Tremont nursing home. They're helping him, they're nice to him, and the care is good. They do whatever has to be done. The place is clean. Whenever something happened, they call me. They serve the meals, and they take him anywhere if he needs anything. They have a doctor there too. The caregivers are all nice to him. "

"I had to have my mother go to the Berks Heim because she needed 24/7 care. I'm very happy with what they're doing for her. They're taking care of her. They're involving her in activities. It's a nursing home, but it's a nice environment. The people are fantastic. I realize that they're understaffed like any place, but they're taking good care of my mother. They're very helpful as far as getting financial aid and all that. She'll be a permanent resident. It's been a month since she's been there. Her room is very adequate for her needs. The staff is very good. I'm very happy with them."

"My great aunt had rehab at Mt. Carmel Senior Living Community. She was in rehab because she had fallen and broken her shoulders. She liked it, and she was engaged in activities. It was very clean. They do jigsaws, bingo, and things like that. That's what was going on when I was there. Her situation improved; she was discharged home independently. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facility was very clean, and the grounds are well-kept. I'm not sure how that all works out financially, but I would say it was fair. They got the desired outcome; she was discharged home. It was a little bit more institutional overall, but her room was homey. They do have a beauty/barber salon. We were satisfied."

"This place is excellent. I would recommend it to anyone. It is always clean (no odors). My mom says the food is very good and she really likes the staff. I must say that all of the staff that I have had any interaction with have been very helpful and friendly. they really know their business. The rooms are all semi private but there is lots of room for the furniture that they provide along with her own lazy-boy chair and a good size TV stand. Residents are encouraged to make the rooms as "home-like" as they can with pictures and belongs."

"ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation-Laureldale were great. They were good with my mom because she thought about going back. She seemed to enjoy her meals. The only thing we didn't like was acute care, they just had one potty for four people. Other than that, the girls were good at making sure she had her pills. She especially likes her speech therapist and she keeps saying she had the best therapy there. They were also good at keeping their residents busy. They had manicures, pet therapy, bingo, ice cream social, and entertainment shows."

"My dad was at Reading Hospital Rehabilitation at Wyomissing. I think they're more proactive with the rehab, and they tailor their program to the individual. The room was spacious and nice. He had a chair that he could sit on instead of laying on the bed. He has a full bathroom. The staff was very nice and very attentive."
