Mom is in Vincentian De Marillac. The rooms are way too small, but the care she's getting and the people there make up for the lack of space. They have Bingo and a few other games to play, and other things they try, but they don't have a lot of room for big activities. It doesn't smell like a nursing home. You can either smell the food or something fresh. The food is very good, and the staff is wonderful, but some of the younger ones tend to take off without notice, so a lot of the really good ones get stuck with too much work. They need to get rid of the younger ones and hire someone more dedicated, and they could use more variety in activities.

We have had my mother in law there following a few hospital stays and have always been impressed with the staff & care. It is not modern of the art but the care trumps what is lacking.
