My father was there for rehab after a heart problem at home. The hospital recommended Towne Manor East. The facility was clean and all of the staff was so nice. They helped my dad and he was able to go home. This place has really improved over the years. And I was happy to hear that the facility was deficiency free. I would definitely recommend this facility to any family looking for their loved one.

I found Towne Manor East for my mom. She is having some dementia and mental issues, and she needs to be around people like her. It's a little bit bigger place, and there's more people around that have the same dementia and things that she has, so she feels comfortable there. The nurses are nice. Not all of them, but the majority of them are nice. They need to have more staff though. My mom doesn't like the majority of the food that they give her. They have activities. They have bingo and adult games and things like that.

I was not impressed. My Aunt was there for four weeks and I called her Dr and asked him to get her out of there, They never did any rehab with her never dressed her or put her sitting in a chair. she went downhill really fast in there and died four weeks after leaving that place. There was one nice Nurse who would interact with us. One day she was in a lot of pain and I went to the front desk and the nurse ignored me as she was on the phone for ten minutes, When she got off I told her that my Aunt was in pain and she told me that they had given her pain meds before we arrived and that they needed time to kick in. I went back to her room and stayed with her for two hours and she was in pain the whole time. No one came to her room to check up on her. It broke my heart to see her in such much pain. we got her out of that place as soon as we could. Do not send your loved ones to this place.

My Father In Law was here for over a year. When my wife and I visited from South Carolina we were appalled. Dried urine on the bed frame and floor, bed sores, bed bugs, and more were present. The staff allowed others to steal from him. Laundry was interchanged between patients. He lost his left leg due to neglect. He was an army veteran and deserved so much better. His physician is on the board for this facility and clearly did not care for his well being. If you have loved ones here please save their lives and relocate them immediately.

Towne Manor East nurses and CNA'S are both hard workers and are very friendly. They takes care of all your needs, Activities could be more exciting and more things to do. Would be nice to have more outings. The menu they have is Not for a Diabetic at all needs to be more appropriate and balanced. And they serve too much pork and beef not enogh turkey, chicken and fish. And they alternative menu is very limited not good.

There seems to be NO consideration for the well being of the patients because some of the Aides are certainly NOT doing their jobs. They congregate and talk - ignoring the fact that residents have pushed the nurses button for help. The aides would rather finish their conversation first. One particular aide came into this patient's room and was loud and flaunted her tail-end as she would leave patient's room - wiggling her butt in an extreme manner - as she left their room. They are helping with food with no gloves. Rooms smell like urine. Clients have PT to get stronger but the aides do not have them use the walker to stand so that the patient can practice while the aide is right there. Some of the aides are not helpful at all and just do not seem to care. Just Awful

My mother just completed her therapy rehab at Towne Manor East. She was their for over a month and a half. What a great group of therapist they have , very personable and friendly. the nursing staff, are even better, they have all RN nurses who really seem to know their stuff!. My mother loved her room mate and has made herself a new friend in the process. Chuck and the staff seem more like family rather than co-workers, which was very comforting to me. If mom ever needed rehab or a nursing home stay ever again I would bring her back to Towne Manor East in heartbeat.

Towne Manor East is truly a hidden gem in Norristown . Despite the reputation from years past, I can honestly say they have definitely turned things around ! My grandmother received her rehab here for 4 weeks after surgery and to my surprise not only are their therapy department magicians but the staff became family. Every concern we had during granny’s stay here was address and corrected. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing rehab. Thanks TME for giving my grandma a second chance at her independence!

If you want to jeopardize your loved ones life, send them to this nursing home. Management team there is just there collecting a pay check and can't wait to get out the door at the end of the day. Constant turnover with their staff, another reflection of the Administration. Not only is the outward appearance of the building despicable, the place is dirty, disheveled and reeks of Urine and dirty diapers. Surprised Health Service agencies havent shut them down. This nursing home is more like a behavior psych ward than a nursing facility.

Such a said visit with my Gram who suffers from Alzheimer's. Upon our visit she sat in a very dirty wheel chair. Residents around were calling out for help. Asking to use the restroom, help in the chairs. A lady fell from her wheel chair and hit her head. She cried out loud clearly in pain. Her diaper was not where it should of been. No staff rushed to help her. When one aide walked over to her she just stood over top of the woman asking her why she fell. She was on the floor for at least 15mins. Finally someone picked her up and placed her in the chair. Her family arrived and I felt the need to tell them she fell from the wheel chair. They were clearly shaken. Please I beg of this community and state to do something about this facility. I would love to have my grandmother removed. I am not in charge of her care. There was only one male aide who was willing to help any of the patients. All others were to busy with there phones. Such a heartache. Very concerned.

In my visits, I found myself leaving with a heavy heart for the residents. It is apparently they are asking for assistance but it is rarely being attended to. I have seen lights activated by the resident......only to be dismissed by the desk. There was an occasion a resident had a stop by saying someone would be in to help them...then they left and the residen'ts needs was never revisited or attended to. It is very sad to hear someone cry, or have to feel they are not safe, when you hear them making an outside call to family or friend to intercept on their behalf. I experienced this same type of situation on many occasions in this facility. The FEW who do try to help, can certainly not handle the numbers; the rest, simply seem to not be concerned!
