The Meadows

I went to The Meadows. The appearance is very beautiful. It looks like a grand hotel. It has a big front porch, and it's out in the country (which is very beautiful). The rooms are good size. The dining room is big, and so is the community room. It seems like they offer a lot of activities. The staff was very, very nice, and very helpful. They have a big community room where they said they can go and play game and bingo. They have a big piano there that somebody probably comes and entertains them.

I went to The Meadows. I liked the decor, the openness of it, the ease of getting to the dining room, and the very country atmosphere (in which my father was born and raised in). It kind of represents his beginnings as he nears his end. The staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating, and they answered all questions without hesitation. There's no kitchenette, but you're allowed to bring your refrigerator. They've got a beautiful courtyard and a little deck area. There's a complete flat walk around, and they've got various places. They've got raised gardens.

My mom is at The Meadows Assisted Living Community, and so far we're good. We're very pleased where she is. They have a lot of caring nurses there, they have activities constantly like Bingo and manicures for the women, they have an activities board where they list all the activities for the day, and they provide church services for them. We're really very happy with it, and we're glad. It's pretty much top of the line, and the food's good. It's always well-balanced, and there are good portions. We're very pleased with the way they treat her -- always very respectful and caring -- and they're easy to work with. It's a very good place.
