"My mom is a resident of Manorcare Health Services. She is in the nursing home. She likes it there. The staff members are very good. They take very good care of her. She's comfortable and she really likes it there. She doesn't go out of her room. She has dementia. She has a television in her room. There's three people, it's very crowded, it's clean. When I visited, it was too cold, and we didn't visit very long, and they won't let you in the nursing home. It's in the hospital, it's old, but they keep it up. She pays way too much money for being there. I don't know if that goes to according to how much money she has or what. She pays a lot of money for her care there. I guess the food is OK. She eats it. "

"My dad moved into Milton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for a month now. They are taking very good care of him. I don't know the price of it because right now, his insurance is covering him. I like their understandability. I can call whenever. I know they're busy and get short with you, but they never have. Any little thing they call and keep me updated. Everyone I've dealt with has been wonderful. I haven't tried their food, and with his dementia, he's not a good source. When I asked him one day what they had for lunch, and he didn't know, a lady yelled, "It's meatloaf, and it was really good.". The facility was very clean. When I read up on it, they have an activities room, or if the patient can't go there, they have people come in throughout the day to sit with the patient to do activities. We don't see his room. When we visit, they take him to a visitor's room because of COVID."

"My mom moved into RiverWoods Senior Living Community. It is a very nice facility with multi-level units of care. The staff is wonderful. They have restaurants, crafts, and different things going on. It's in the same town where I live, so it's very convenient. I can visit my mother regularly. My mother is quite happy with the food. Their meds are delivered every day. There's a nurse there. My mom lives in a single room. The cost for my mom's level is really good and very affordable. They are a terrific facility. We're very happy."

"We toured Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village for my mom. We chose that because it was a continuing care facility, and she needs a little bit more one-on-one beyond a home health care provision. The staff were very helpful with questions. They also came out of the car with the wheelchair to get my mom. They made sure that she had all her questions answered, too. They have a new wing, and we were very pleased with it. They have a courtyard, a salon, and in-house rehab facilities as well."

"My uncle is at Dar-Way Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, and I visited him for Christmas. It was an older facility. I don't think they have the activities for their residents. If it's me, I would not want to be there. They don't have private rooms. The rooms are shared, so it didn't impress me at all. I guess the patients get taken care of, but I don't think they focus a lot on the patients. The staff members seemed very nice. I am not impressed with the facility."

"Highlands Care Center was recommended by the hospital my husband was in. It’s very nice and they contact me almost every day to keep me updated on his status because they are three hours away from me. They offered me some food, and my husband seems to be just fine his meals. Everything seems to be going very well. They have different things on the walls because it’s for Alzheimer’s and dementia. They also have different things going on several times a day in the dining room. They have reading and different things for patients to do, too. The dining room is nice and bright with lots of windows. "

"Everyone seemed very helpful and very accommodating at Nottingham Village. It looks like a great fit for mom. She would be in a single home, which was beautiful. It was a ranch. They have a garage, a screened-in porch, two bedrooms, and two baths. They have a senior center, they do all kinds of activities, they have a schedule that they do every month, and they offer meals there if you choose (or you can have your own). They have a restaurant, a small exercise room, and they offer transportation if you need it within so many miles, and that is included with their maintenance fee each month. There are little walking areas all around."

"Mother was at Emmanuel Center for about a month, and it was better, nicer, cleaner, and safer. The staff was better than average. I guess, she is in the beginnings of dementia. Her issue is that she would think that people didn’t take care of her in a timely manner, but we as her family thought that they were much better. I just admire the work that they tried to do with the patients. "

"it seems to be a well run facility the staff there genuinely seems to care about the well being of my girlfriend even though she did injure herself while she was there they were very quick to help her and do what they could to help her with the injury none of which was any of their doing she just put more pressure on her wrist then it could handle. she has been there quite a bit longer then any of us would of liked or expected, but she has had a hard time walking and it is gonna take a while for her legs to get back in shape enough for her to come home and it seems like she is being well taken care of there as i said they seem to have a nice staff she has quite a few different staff members that help her at various hours, but she will probably need a lot more therapy and probably a major knee surgery before she can come home which will require even more therapy she has a long road ahead but they do seem to have a very knowledgeable staff there and even though she is not happy being there she is being well taken care of while she is there. "

"We are so appreciative of the Sister's and the different team's at the Meadows, Emmanuel and the Memory Care Center. From visiting our parents while in independent living, immediately arriving to provide comfort upon the passing of our brother, joyful drive-bys during covid, exuberant meal deliveries, prompt maintence responses, and support as they progressed to the next level of care, the Sister's and their team have been right by our side. The doctor's, nurses, RT/OT/PT and aids provide exceptional and specialized care, empathy and encouragement. Care and comfort is given with joy and love. Unending questions and concerns are always validated and answered. We could not navigate this challenging time without you."

"My brother is in this facility for rehabilitative therapy and is being treated very well. The aides, nurse's, therapists, etc have all been wonderful. I would definitely recommend that your loved one be taken care of at this facility. "

"I was there for 2 weeks for rehab after the flu and double pneumonia. The room was always clean, staff was very caring with plenty of caretakers. Beautiful atrium, beauty parlor, PT, large showers. Very good food with some choices each day. Nice views out my window, my room faced the rear and looked out over woods and hills. Good temp control in each room. Would go there again for inpatient rehab."

"Frankly, I don’t like much about Haven Skilled Rehabilitation, but I don’t have a choice. He has Parkinson’s and is not ambulatory. He couldn’t stay in the assisted living any longer. The staff is very good and caring, but it’s busy and big and don’t have as much help as they did in the assisted living. It’s clean. The dining room is just a one big room where they do sometimes do activities like bingo and crafts. They have church on Sundays and other activities. "
