We chose The Bridges at Bent Creek because it's close to home. There were several people that I knew that had relatives that were also living at the Bridges and they gave good recommendations for it. When I talked to people there I was favorably impressed with their knowledge and graciousness. I had gone by the place, but we couldn't go in because of COVID, so they did a virtual tour. I checked in terms of any kind of governmental issues with the place and there were none. I checked with others as well in terms of their knowledge of whether or not there were COVID cases there and none of the residents had COVID. It's not the cheapest place, but it was not the most expensive place either. They are very, very strict, perhaps it's one of the reasons why they don't have residents with COVID. My husband's overall experience at this time is positive. The staff all seems extremely knowledgeable and helpful with any questions. There is constant communication in terms of anything that is going on with my spouse. It is a very good two-way communication. I think I am getting good value for my money.

We chose The Bridges at Bent Creek for my dad because they provide more independence. It was also a smaller facility. They have different types of rooms and they're very nice. The food is very good and freshly made. It's not like a cafeteria where they order in bulk and serve it that way. They have activities all the time like bingo, trivia, card games, a wellness program that's really good, brunches with family, and a kitchen upstairs that the residents can use so long as they let the staff know. They even have a wine tasting day. Everything's just so expensive.

The Bridges At Bent Creek was great. It's clean and there are people coming and going. The staff, executive director, marketing director, and the receptionist are all in the common area. They also have use of the outside, they can sit on the front porch, or in the back of the building. I felt safe and comfortable on behalf of my mom, and the food was good. I believe the care would be good, they will check on her a couple times a day depending on her needs. It was clean and redone; I have nothing negative to say about it. It smelled fine, it didn't have an odor to it, and the rooms were clean and a nice size. I like that they have their own furnace so you don't have one of those hotel air-conditioned units that you need to deal with. The staff was wonderful. Their activities seem to be geared more toward health, mind, and body, although they also have movie nights, bingo, and so on.

My husband will be moving into The Bridges today. I got a very positive impression. They have an attitude of keeping them active and won’t give them something to sleep. It’s big, homey, cheerful, and bright. There’s a lot of socialization and organized activities.

The Bridges at Bent Creek was wonderful, but they kept going up and up to the point that it wasn't possible to keep my mother there anymore. Every year, it went up $500 a month, and in January of this year, they did a flat rate across the board. They used to have a voluntary program called Seasons, and they said it's not going to be voluntary anymore. It's mandatory, and it's $1000 a month increase in addition to the annual $500 a month increase. It just put it out of range. But it was all fantastic – the rooms were fantastic, the staff was amazing, and the facility itself was immaculate. It was top-notch, but it just got too expensive. It's a very small facility, so it's very personalized care.
