I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father was at Kindred Place at Harrisburg. It's a ten in my book. That's pretty much independent living. That place is amazing. If he could stay at Kindred, he would stay there. The staff, the facility, everything was amazing there, but because my dad needs more care, we have to move him. My dad loved the food. The nurses, the activities, I can't say anything bad about them. They're just the whole gamut. It's a wonderful facility. Usually when I go there, they'd have their pizza and beer night and stuff like that. He went to wineries, he went to plays, and he did a lot of stuff with them. They had wonderful activities. They had people come in that did concerts and they had bingo.

I visited this facility

Kindred Place Harrisburg was very nice and the rooms were nice. I didn't have any interaction with the staff during the tour, but the manager that I interacted with was very nice. The overall living atmosphere was very good; it was very nice. I looked at the apartments and the facilities. The apartments have a large space.

Kindred Place at Harrisburg is surrounded by the Boyd Big Tree Preserve Conservation Area and the Sportman's Golf Course. Its peaceful location is just seven miles from the center of Harrisburg, making it easy to visit as needed. The area has a number of attractions, including the National Civil War Museum, the State Museum of Pennsylvania, vineyards and country clubs.

At Kindred Place, support is personalized to meet the needs of the individual. Health and home care staff from UCC Homes is on-site 24/7 to assist seniors whenever necessary. Transportation is provided when residents want to go shopping. The apartments are fully equipped with appliances, including a washing machine and dryer. Animal lovers can be accompanied by small pets.

Kindred Place is designed for entertainment and relaxation with plenty of amenities and activities on the property. Seniors can take in the scenic mountain views while using the fitness center or exercising on the outdoor walking loop. Residents can relax with friends by the fireplace in the living area or visit the beauty salon or barber. A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily, and lunch and dinner are also available in the restaurant with picturesque views.
