"After four years, my brother Ralph, has been a resident here at Tradition’s assisted living. We have nothing but extreme praise for all of the staff that has taken excellent personal care of him. They were very kind to him. He had his limitations but the staff knew how to attend to his needs. We would highly recommend this place to those of you looking for a caring place for your loved one to live."

"I visited Autumn House East. The gentleman was very helpful and very nice, but they don't do long-term care like my relative needs. He needs full care. He needs a Hoyer lift and two people, getting in and out of bed and the bathroom, and they don't do that. They're just assisted living. The residents there were walking with walkers or needing help with walking, but it seemed like they were in pretty good shape. It's very friendly. The gentleman knows people living there by the first name and says hi to them. Nothing like what my brother-in-law is in now. It's very clean. I wouldn't be afraid to stay there if I had to. I know other people that were there, and that's how I can sort of rate it pretty good. They were residents until they got too bad, they had to go to a nursing home."

"We found ourselves in a tough situation. My sister was in need of respite care for a month or two or so we thought. We discovered that her medical needs were far more that we could handle at home. We turned to the staff at Senior Commons for help with additional care needs and how to implement it. Millie, Resident Care Director, took the initiative to call and facilitate services that needed to be put in place taking the stress off of the family. She went above and beyond staying late into the night to help my sister. Our family feels blessed that my sister Dorothy is here. She is well taken care of with meals, safety, and medication management. We also found Susan in activities is always encouraging her to be part of the festivities and meet new people. I highly recommend trusting this community to care for your loved too."

"My father-in-law is in The Village of Laurel Run. They have nurses on staff, and doctors come in from time to time. I like the place. The staff seems very attentive. I think the place is pretty well run. He went there from the hospital basically for rehab. There’s a rehab facility that gets people to exercise and work with them so they can be able to get back to their own homes. The room that he’s in has two beds with a full curtain in-between. They have two males in the same room, an adjustable bed, and one bathroom for the two people. "

"It was very nice. The people who lived there seemed very pleased. They had separate houses, which were spacious. They had a very nice social creation area. They had an outdoor pool and different rooms where different activities took place. They had an activity director and they had different games. "

"My visit at Silver Springs Courtyards was very nice and the staff was very knowledgeable. They had these little cottages that were 1-bedroom apartments. The parking was OK, but you had to walk pretty far to get to your cottage. They had a washer and laundry area, and they also had a community room. It was a very nice community. The apartments were very tiny and didn't have a dishwasher. You're lucky if you can fit a very small table in the kitchen. The living room and bedroom were also very small, including the closet space. The staff member that gave me the tour did a good job."

"The Keller House is under new ownership and improvements are being made daily (even though I didn't think it was bad before). Rooms being painted and new carpeting going in. Meals are good (according to the resident I am the POA for) and the new owners are constantly working on improving the facility. New breakfast, lunch and dinner times, allowing me more time for doctor's appointments in the morning. Residents continue to enjoy board games, some physical activities if they are interested, etc. I love the HOME feel of the building, unlike the large, much more expensive senior living facilities in the area. It's not a large facility and the residents seem to like that. I know I did when I visited in 2016 when looking for a less expensive facility for the elderly lady I look after. Even back then, before all the improvements, it still had a nice, friendly feel to it and the owner was easy to talk to and work with. Not for everyone, I know, but if you're looking for a place in a small town, close to everything and not super expensive, at least call, set up an appointment and give them some consideration. Wish I had moved my friend there sooner. She's happier than she was in a larger, more expensive facility. "

"I went to look at Messiah Lifeways. The new buildings for independent living that they built were just beautiful. They have great amenities with a pool area, exercise room, activities, dining options were nice, and transportation within the community to make it accessible to all the different levels of living. The facility was brand new, so it was beautiful. We did try the food there, and it was good. It was like a made-to-order style or counter service. The food was good quality and tasty. The staff was very helpful, friendly, compassionate, and answered all of our questions nicely. The grounds were beautiful, very well landscaped, and maintained."

"My in-laws lived here for many years. (They recently moved to an Assisted Living community near us, so are no longer at Bethany). We spent a lot of time with them at Bethany, and we were very happy they were there. The buildings are elegant, clean and easy to navigate. Their apartment was spacious and light-filled, with high ceilings and a beautiful porch. It included two huge walk in closets, two bathrooms, a large laundry room and an easy-to-work-in kitchen. The staff were always helpful, and the activities available were many and varied. The grounds are well kept. My in-laws enjoyed the pool, the wellness center, activities like bridge. There are two restaurants in the building with delicious food. It is great that landscaping, snow removal, maintenance, trash collection, basic cable, and utilities are all included in the monthly fee. When my mother-in-law suffered some health setbacks, having the skilled nursing unit onsite allowed my father-in-law to visit easily. We would recommend Bethany Village to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, healthy and beautiful place to live."

"Our Mom had been in a facility that had originally told us they had memory care, but when her dementia became worse, they were not equipped to deal with her, and asked us to take her somewhere else! Then, a coworker, who also works at CM part time, told me about CM and how much SHE loves working there. So we called, and the rest is a very happy ending to our story. CM welcomed Mom with open arms, reassured our family, and started weaning her off the heavy medications she had been on. Withing weeks at CM, Mom started recognizing family (!), and can often interact with us. She is up out of a wheelchair and getting around with her walker, she has started eating better. The facility is clean, warm and welcoming. We notice the little things too, an offer for an apple juice, encouragement to eat, redirecting her when she is anxious, letting her choose what she wants for a meal, seeing that she is dressed nicely each day, having a shadow box outside her room, which allows her to know where she is/where she needs to go. Our family will be forever indebted to Country Meadows. They are making Moms last bit of life warm, safe, secure and positive!"

"We chose EverTrue Cumberland Crossings because my son lives five minutes away, and I'll be much closer to him if I need him. We looked at an empty unit, and it was a unit compared to what I'll get. It was very clean and spacious. They're very large, and I'm getting a two-bedroom cottage. It looked very nice, and I'm very anxious to get there. They have fitness programs, a heated indoor exercise pool, and different committees and clubs you can join. They also have a walkway around the whole campus. I have a scooter and I'll be able to use it all over the campus. They have a chef, and I get 20 meals a month included in my rent. They go on trips and outings, and there's a little mall they go to, and there's a Walmart. They make little two-day trips around the area, which sounds good. The concierge gave my son a tour. I haven't been on a tour, but have been in the unit. I think he was very pleased with the tour that he got."

"Most people do not know the difference between facilities and what questions are important to ask. This facility was very good at educating me about that and I appreciated it. I did not know that all of them do not take you in for your care from independant living to end of life. The only thing they do not offer is Skilled Nursing which most places do not offer due to the potentially high costs. You need to ask if the facility you are considering is a Medicaid Facility and the financial implications and requiements involved. That's very important. They introduce you to a mentor when you first move in. That is usually someone who has been there a while and will dine with you and introduce you to other residents until you feel comfortable and at home. PRICELESS"

"My mother is in Ecumenical Retirement Community. She likes it and fits in there well. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the food is very good. I've eaten there when I had lunch with my mother. The rooms are very clean. She has her own room which is good for her, because that's what she needed. "
